Jack: Winning that ticket, Rose, was the best thing that ever happened to me... it brought me to you. And I'm thankful for that, Rose. I'm thankful. You must do me this honor, Rose. Promise me you'll survive. That you won't give up, no matter what happens, no matter how hopeless. Promise me now, Rose, and never let go of that promise.
Rose: I promise.
Jack: Never let go.
Rose: I'll never let go. I'll never let go, Jack.."
Jack: Don't you do that, don't say your good-byes.
Rose: I'm so cold.
Jack: Listen, Rose. You're gonna get out of here, you're gonna go on and make lots of babies, and you're gonna watch them grow. You're gonna die an old... an old lady warm in her bed, but not here, not this night. Not like this, do you understand me?
this soundtrack take me back to 1997 when me an four buddies were driving on the winter road and all we had was one cassette tape with this recording and we must have played it a hundred times lol. ps we were on the winter road for about 26 hours.
I saw this video before I watched Titanic, and you did a great job with matching the clips to dialogue, even if it isn't completely accurate with who says what. It intrigued me to see the movie, but it didn't give too much away. Great job! (and no, I'm not crying... Okay, maybe I am.)
that was absolutely bedautiful, sheer perfection and a great tribute to the most beautiful romantic tragedy to ever sail into our hearts the unforgettable TITANIC.
okay, Rose was 100 in this movie, and it was 84 years ago to 1912, so 100 minus 84 is 16...so...she was 16 and getting married in arrangement? Wow.....how standards have changed.
The reason why the ship didn't have enough lifeboats is A.) Titanic was build to be unsinkable but when it hit the iceberg it destroyed the section where it stops the water from sinking the ship. B.) when people saw the idea of not being sinkable they decided to make the ship even more fancier with the extra budgets. In my opinion it's great that the ship sank now we can remember it by making movies about it and actually feel sorrow for the people who had to suffer to get on the RMS TITANIC
well, this year you will be 26, So....add 84 to 26 and you get 110! According to Rose, 84 years ago she was 16 on the tianic, and in present she wasx 100, I believe.
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU I've been looking for this video for years, i heard it on the radio when the movie came out and i haven't heard it since, soooo hard to find.
@mikebmaster85 Its hard to find cause Im the one that made this, lol its not a professionally done video, although I would say I did a pretty good job

The sad (and angering) part is that the SS Californian was within proximity of the Titanic when it was sinking, the crew even saw the signal flares, and failed to provide any assistance which could have saved everyone (or at least most) on the Titanic. This has been the conclusion after investigations by both Americans and British.
@timorbit I heard about that :(. The operator on the Titanic told the operator on the Californian to "shut up" and then "and at 23:30 he (the guy on the Californian) turned off the wireless and went to bed. Ten minutes later Titanic hit an iceberg and sent out her first distress call 35 minutes later."
I've got a similar vid to this that ive just uploaded, movies Titanic with My Heart Will Go On, but the shits have blocked it becasue it contains contents from FOX...
unexpected deaths and tragedies are what make a movie so good, if jack didn't die, i'm almost 100% sure this movie wouldn't have won as many oscars as it did... think about all the greatest movies ever, and nearly every one of them as a great character die in it. Such as Peter in "Crash", John Coffey in The "Green Mile", Ben Thomas in "Seven Pounds"... need i say more?
Of a total of 2,223 people aboard the Titanic only 706 survived the disaster and 1,517 perished. The majority of deaths were caused by hypothermia in the 28 °F (−2 °C) water. At this water temperature, death could be expected in less than 15 minutes.
I have seen this movie many MANY times and I STILL cry at the end when jack dies and everything. I love this movie. I dedicate my tears to all those poor people who actually died on the titanic. The tears I made for this movie are for those poor folks.
the movie along with the soundtrack had an impact on people including myself that i havent seen again since....there was something truly special about the combination of those projects and i believe God had His hand in it....I mean that
Such a beautiful song, just great. The dialogue in it just makes it better. Anyway, does anybody have this dialogue with orginal lyrics? Thanks in advice ; )
ive been looking for this version of the song for years!!! i remember the first time i heard this version on the radion i was on my way to elementary school and me and my sister have been trying to find it ever since !!!!! thank you to the person who put it on youtube!!!! <3<3<3<3<3
But, let's face it, who in that urgent situation would've thought to do anything other than try to avoid the collision? Very few of us, I imagine. After all, allowing a ship to collide head-on with the iceberg will surely damage her, whereas if she could just sneak past it on one side...
If, instead, she had been allowed to ram the iceberg head-on at reducing speed, then the first one or two watertight sections would have been near-totally destroyed, but the remaining intact sections would've meant the ship would've remained afloat.
another thing is:
The person that had crow's nest duty saw a small white spot several miles away, but he lost his binoculars and later saw that it was an iceberg when it was too late.
omg if even think of this movie or even this song im balling so bad you think someone had died. Every time i watch it or even think of it im crying my soul out. When i first saw it the whole hour and a half i cry so bad you'd think i was dieing...omg love that movie but almost nothing else in the world can make me cry so much. I'm crying hella bad right now too..its crazy
no that is so freakn not true it was the captains fault if he would have just slowed down the boat they would have had time to steer the boat and if the didnt, it wouldnt have sunk if it hit the burg head on i know this is true cuz i know everything there is to know and im a teenager
if the officer in command as the Titanic approached the iceberg had resisted the natural urge to try to avoid a collision but instead had ordered her into reverse and left her on course for a direct collision, then the Titanic most likely would not have sunk. This is because the glancing blow caused by his attempt to avoid a collision caused the edge of the iceberg to tear into five of the Titanic's watertight sections, one more than the loss of four she was designed to survive.
every time i watch this movie my heart clenches i cant imagine how it must feel to love someone so much and then to loose them so suddenly i cant imagine how i would be able to get through that
@tirantar Because passanger safety was a big deal then. For the builders, they wanted to show off Titanic's grandeur, and having 40 lifeboats clutter up the side wouldn't look nice. They were falsely optimistic in thinking that A. It was unsinkable. and B. in the event it did sink, the ship would remain afloat long enough for them to be saved.
The reason we have all these safety measures today, like enough lifeboats, and safe travel routes, and sailing near others is because of Titanic.
@a7xbabe2 even if the life boats they DID have were filled to their capacity, about 800 people still would have been abandoned at the site of the crash
Sadd a** movie everytime i watch it i cry for mad longg dittoo

@tirantar Because passanger safety was a big deal then. For the builders, they wanted to show off Titanic's grandeur, and having 40 lifeboats clutter up the side wouldn't look nice. They were falsely optimistic in thinking that A. It was unsinkable. and B. in the event it did sink, the ship would remain afloat long enough for them to be saved.
The reason we have all these safety measures today, like enough lifeboats, and safe travel routes, and sailing near others is because of Titanic.

@a7xbabe2 You know around 1500 some of them just freshed to death in the ocean

@a7xbabe2 even if the life boats they DID have were filled to their capacity, about 800 people still would have been abandoned at the site of the crash
