I'm not sure how old Solidus is meant to be but I'm pretty certain that Raiden is meant to be younger than Snake - probably early- to mid-twenties? After all, wasn't that the point - that Snake was the older, more experienced one and Raiden was younger and therefore less experienced?

The patriots erased Raiden's memory for this training,it seems ridiculous but that's the explanation given by the game.

But MGS 3 doesn't say anything about Solidus' birth, it only gives the date of the begining of "Les enfants terribles". We don't know much more about Solidus, is he born during the project? We don't know.

The poster of his vid is overreacting about the plot of MGS2. First of all, Solidus did recognize Raiden on the bridge. He clearly says "Where do I know him from...?" .

Also, there is a reason why Raiden's memory has been altered. If you actually followed the plot of this game, you'd know about the S3 plan and what it stands for.

The plot may not the completely believable, but it sure makes a lot of sense after you figure it out.

Sure, that may have been one purpose, but the main goal was to test the new Metal Gear A.I., so that way the Patriots could control the flow of information in the U.S. So it's not about that. I just wanted to point out that when they say he looks like Big Boss they could mean young Big Boss (MGS3's Naked Snake) who resembles Kurt Russel's character Snake Pliskin from those crappy old films Escape From NY and Escape From LA whom Solid Snake resembles (His allias Pliskin is a reference to this) rather than old Big Boss who looks like Sean Connery. Of course it is also possible that they dont look alike but are meant to look alike, just like Liquid Snake and Solid Snake.
