"Winning" by a 60/40 margin or less doesn't exactly put America in very good light. It definitely doesn't show that we are moving in a progressive manner, by any means. In the last 35 years we've backslid into 'puritan' politics and the corrupt ways of politicians/corporations of the late 1800s and early 1900s. It would need to be an 80/20 margin to show that we are on the cusp of common sense people waking up and getting involved in the political arena - for whatever that's worth!
America is not a democracy, and day by day we are losing more, and more rights, but there might be hope for us, we do have a long way to go folks. Sigh.
