Oh, wow, poor you. You got your laptops taken away for a day for looking at the internet in class. At Baylor Law School, we got our laptops taken away for the remainder of the entire two semester class for taking class notes. We also weren't allowed water in the building. In the ENTIRE building.

As a 3rd year law student, I can tell you that from what I've seen in law school, I would never allow laptops in my law school class as a professor. 95% of students are ignoring the lecture and either Facebooking or doing something other than paying attention.

the obvious result of taking the laptops is half the class staring at there crotches all class long where they are "hiding" their phones.
