I've seen some very technically compitant bands like Origin who just stand around playing "look what I can do" sweeps for an hour and it sounds like shit. I'd rather go see a band like S.O.D. or Toxic Holocaust any day. It's not that I'm even that much of a Kat fan,but how good a band is is not always directly proportional to how precise and perfect everything is.Early Sabbath is a great example.

a decent opinion, but kat is widely known as, so far one of the only people to transcribe great classical pieces note for note from the origanal, to violin, to guitar.

@Divljina89 So what. If it sounds good it's good. If it doesn't it isn't. I've seen some very technically compitant bands like Origin who just stand around playing "look what I can do" sweeps for an hour and it sounds like shit. I'd rather go see a band like S.O.D. or Toxic Holocaust any day. It's not that I'm even that much of a Kat fan,but how good a band is is not always directly proportional to how precise and perfect everything is.Early Sabbath is a great example.

@Divljina89 Music's a weird thing. I would say guitarists like Joe Satriani and Steve Vai are no better than guitarists like King Buzzo and Paul Leary. The two former are without a doubt waaay more technically proficient, but in my opinion, Buzzo and Leary are more interesting to listen to, and as a result, way fuckin cooler.
