The XP from 37-42 is only like, 35-40,000. Seems like you'd outgrow the camp every hour and a half. And if you need a level 37 DD, how likely are you to be able to keep finding one?
I've had some good and even great parties here, but never one this fast.
After having someone in my party say, today at Bhaflau Colibri tower camp, that there's no point in syncing up to 61 for birds when there's East Ronfaure [S]. After watching this video, I can tell you we were killing birds faster than this and for better EXP. PLD BRD RDM SAM SAM DRG. I have tanked Imps on Ninja @65 with chain 5's yielding over 700 EXP, consistently. The whole reason you people forget about what can be done in this game is because you go for the easy and negate the challenging.
I think it silly, as well, to know that a Rank 10 WAR insists the same birds cannot be killed @60. Chain 5's all day. Some people don't even remember the way to these camps that have been around for years. Shame.
WAR/THF? Not WAR/DRK? Wouldn't that give the most damage? Yes, massive hate spikes, but use the abilities at the end of one fight so they're active at the start of another and hate will still bounce around a bit.
SA damage is valuable for wsing. especially pre 55.
TBH thf is a suitable rep sub for ninja if your enemys dont have area attacks and your party has a tank (pld or nin) then you can just TA the shit out of them rather than just pulling hate constantly and wasting money. + you get SA etc.
which if you say its more useful for reserving MP. you could also argue its better for keeping the hate off the healers. ive had so many times in ksnms and shit where every dd would sub NIN and the healer would be taking hate because the tank is being healed to shit. TA is more useful than shadows on the right enemys

Those timers are on one minute recasts, and I'm willing to bet that means they're only useful on every second mob at best becasue you only have between 40 and 50 seconds to maintain the exp chain. Even if you space them to SA on one mob and TA on the next TA doesn't actually give you any extra damage.
Besides which, you said the setup was easy on the PL because it's such a relatively(sp) low level party anyways.
@SiegeTF You don't gain any bonus damage from subbing nin unless you're dual wielding, at least with THF sub, you have 1 free ability to transfer all the hate from your weapon skill, and 1 free ability to boost your damage on a weapon skill.
At least thats the way i see thf sub.
its a gain in damage over nin if you're 2 handing a weapon, as well as useful for hate control.
@Alfarjamie /NIN? I didn't mention /NIN, I was talking about /DRK. Last Resort works on all hits of a weaponskill, unlike Sneak Attack, and hate isn't an issue because i't's very easy to PL'. The only real downsides are the cooldown on Last Resort, and the fact that /DRK's attack bonus trait doesn't stack with WAR's.
What you get from a subjob at that level range is limited though, and Jump is by no means better than SA. I'd still use /DRK or /RNG (colibri can't eat acc bonus) though.
Dude best exp til merit is false as well, 54+ on Lessers is better, not to mention you get imperial standing which can be used to purchase coins for gil. Also this doesn't require a PL.
Wow the highest exp rate youve had on L. Colibris is 10k/hr? Thats pretty sad I feel bad for you. Maybe someday youll experience why people do it. If you were on my server Id show you a real colibri burn since you must of never tasted the power. Way quicker no attack down or amnesia to slow you down. Yeah 1 person loses TP every once in a while but the bird lives for maybe 15 secs.
lvl 35+ DD/Melee party with PL 15-25K is normal, i have been in a PT where we got allmost 35K/h (cant remember camp). that sayed, nice vid, not many know this "trick"
this isn't a vid of you speed leveling, this is a vid of you gimping your skills in the later levels. While under level sync you get no skill ups unless you're around that same, so while you are leveling quickly you have to waste even more time getting your skills up to par.

+ with the current event you got martial master on anyway and its even easier to skillup.

@unbalanced2245 Beseiged is for skilling and perhaps ISP if you've been doing the ISNM3k often as possible. If you've been going to Beseiged for exp/merit points I'm surprised this video didn't make your head explode.
Lowest delay weapon that'll still let you actually do damage, haste build, and some haste spells & songs and you get caught up in no time flat. My 46 BLM is fully skilled despite only having sync parties thanks to Beseiged.

depends what class u play, u will be constantly busy if ur a mage, some melees are very active, such as dark knight, paladin (Tank), ninja, samurai, thief.
but eitehr way u mostly have to act faster at higher levels, hence why you'd wanna grind lol

Level Sync is both a blessing and a curse. It allows u to make a party and "sync" to a members level. Lets say u have 5 lvl 70s and a lvl 10.You can start a party, sync the party to level 10, and off to teh doonz you go!^^ The downside is that because the level 70s are sync'd down to level 10, their magic, weapon skills, and anything else that should level up when they do, wont. But hey, thats what Besieged is for, right?
And this is why end game sucks now. Everyone partys in ER[s]... Its ridiculous. They don't get the necessary skill ups and think they are good @ that level.
You act like leveling magically makes people stupid simply because they can do it better and *faster* than you. It's called skillup parties; we did them back in 2004 and 2005. Chill and stop being stupid.

Um, hi. This is FFXI, not rocket science. Once you get Flash the Paladin class doesn't change at all while leveling. You Flash. You provoke. You cure for hate. 90% of Paladins didn't know how to use Cover BEFORE LSyncing was an option so nothing as changed. You act as though people get BRAND NEW ABILITIES every damn level; they're lucky if they get something new every 10, much less every single one.
Frankly, the skillups can be gotten within an hour/2 hours tops if you have Martial Master. So really, you're just bitching to bitch, because people now level faster than you do. It's OK, we all know you're a bad player that can't grasp how utterly fucking simple FFXI classes are. If you can't grasp the class 5 minutes outside of Level Syncing (at any level), you're just plum fucking retarded.

I reluctantly started doing endgame again after maxing out all jobs. The linkshells I'm in now are very successful and we have a diverse group of people. Some pro-bot, some anti-bot. Botting is still considered cheating to the self-righteous console players and some won't hesitate to report you. I've seen some top of the line characters banned because of it. I put in too much time in my char and I can't take that risk. People GM call for the dumbest things and SE bans for the dumbest things.
No I'm not on Titan. I wish I could say which server I'm on but my cover would be blown lol. The character I leveled is one of three on my server with all 20 jobs @ level 75.
Before i get flamed... i eventually got maat's cap, not to mention every possible job to 75, that's 20 75s. The only thing i liked in the game was exp'ing and leveling. Whenever an endgame shell needed me on a certain job I simply capped the appropriate skill at Boyahda Tree off steelsheels and was good to go. Leveling this way doesn't gimp a player if you have some common sense and a good understanding of this game (veteran ffxi addicts LOL). Don't be a noob tho,go skillup and cap that skill!!
I was a leveling freak and exp maniac. This was what I did, of course i did this before the rise of the popular summoner burn that ppl do nowadays. I 3-boxed here all the time, always managing my parties. 75 rdm (PL bot lol) and 75 brd (double ballad bot lulz) in PL pt. Get 5 extremely good melee, piercing or GreatAxe War or Drks. 6th pt member is a brd/nin or cor/nin who can pull just like 75 merit pt. 20k/hr plus with zero downtime. Best spot is the L-shape stone wall. For me, bots=efficiency
before you flame me down, you have more acc cuz of skill which is a HUGE deal at these low levels and not to mention sturmwind will destroy these guys. i know i know they are weak to piercing, but the gain in acc will boost your DoT more than using a polearm, even with a couple merits in it =D
Ive done this w/ my Thf from 37-54 seeing that Dagger is capped and merited on my Pup and for the people that say doing this is making you gimped is retarded seeing that I can play my brothers account which has THF on it and still do my job Thf is not a hard job to play but i usually go w/ Sam/Warx3 Sam/Ninx2 Thf/War=me SATA Viper Bite takes half of there HP and using bloody bolts makes me even better of a DD then whoever we had in the party.
5 melee (preferably piercing wpn) + brd/nin or cor/nin + 75 rdm/smn PL bot (yes bot) and this place can rival or even surpass Aht Urghan merit parties
close to rivaling at best.. you lose the gear bonus's, the extra songs and the [main] fact that you dont *need* to replace anyone in merit parties.. since when the sync's target hits 42, you have to replace someone.. where you can go forever in merit parties technically
yea they were sorta off the wall with jobs, but they killed them fast just kept pulling, and pulling, and pulling >.> MP drains if you have to cast cure III all the time... cause cure IIs dont do the trick ; ;
i had to PL one of these parties..... its not easy to heal when you have 200/1000 >.> after that i was just telling them no MP no MP and they kept pulling, things got real bad then :) but lesson learned.... "always listen to your PL... or you die"

yes, 40k/hr is impossible.. but his title says 25k/hr lol. i remember doing this but with 2 pullers. 1brd and 1 rdm. 1 puller is not enough to keep up... we also had someone to say the direction of where the next closest mob was too. think someone had widescan. but i still take my smn burn xp over any other xp anyday lol.

Um, you just demonstrated how nub you are :). Ever heard of a skill up party? lol Its quicker to get to 75 through this method then skill up than it is to plain level to 75.
The new patch does not allow you to skill up in level sync Partys, It simply allows characters Lv.1-55 to skillup faster than normal. Once you get to Level 56 your normal skillup rate is returned.
So, as this is a good way to level up, dont forget you will need to join the occasional PT not in east ronfure S just to keep your skill up to date, or you will be spending the same ammount of time skilling up, that you would have done in a normal EXP PT anyway.
I didn't know this was an exploit.. Thought it was common sense- been doing this for a while. Haha. I went from NIN37-43 in an hour. :p Without a PL I was getting 18k/hr. Oh well- it's not worth missing the skill-ups in the weapon so I leave there @ 45 at the latest.

I would have to disagree i have gotten up to chain 100/ 26k/hour before and do it quite often with my friends at leypoint in wajoam. This strategy has a downfall as well, it requires a PL. Lvling in wajoam does not and its on par or better with polearm sams/drgs a brd or cor and a rdm. everyone stop judging jobs you haven't played/read about intensively also drgs can do pretty high numbers ive seen 2500-2800 drakebanes consistently in merit pts Alexander: Slayor: 75Sam/Rdm/Blu/War/Mnk/64drg
if you stick a knowledgeable person behind any job they can be a good DD even on pup. But drg has its limits obviously with good gear drg will be a good DD the same with every DD. Drg has more solo potential with /blu/rdm/blm/whm/pld etc and thus makes drg very versatile. Unfortunately other jobs have more Raw power over drg so they are grabbed instead of said drg. Drg is a wonderfull DD, soloist and a fun job but if we look at dmg only it is outclassed unless its piercing weak monsters by most.

warrior doesn't have enough abilitys/spells for me to want to macro them, especially at 37.. i had macros at 75 but all it really was was gear swap for wsing

My friend got his RDM from 1 to 75 in 2 days. With this exploit in Korroloka Tunnel. tho he uses 5 SMN's, and 1 normal job which can be whatever. a PL is needed.
Gustav Tunnel is better now since not much people know about it. Same set up with PL but have more Samurai's with Seigon makes PLer a bit more lazy and can play on his PSP or DS or read a book while lookin at the screen every two to three minutes.
That said, what part of this is an exploit, besides the PL? >.> Looks to me like an ordinary melee cannon on Ladybugs/Colibris with a PL to keep you alive. You can do that anywhere that has enough mobs who respawn fast, so long as the mobs are low enough that a PL can keep a PT going easily enough, and you have people to sync to. Ronfaure [S] is a nice camp, though.

Very good camp imo. My highest EXP/Hr was 20k with Level Sync 40 3xPolearm DD, 1xTHF, 1xNIN and 1xRDM and 1 PL. so not the best setup.
But after a while ER[S] is getting very boring, was retired from ER[S] after ~30h of lvling in 1 Week q.q

depends what class u play, u will be constantly busy if ur a mage, some melees are very active, such as dark knight, paladin (Tank), ninja, samurai, thief.
but eitehr way u mostly have to act faster at higher levels, hence why you'd wanna grind lol

Level Sync is both a blessing and a curse. It allows u to make a party and "sync" to a members level. Lets say u have 5 lvl 70s and a lvl 10.You can start a party, sync the party to level 10, and off to teh doonz you go!^^ The downside is that because the level 70s are sync'd down to level 10, their magic, weapon skills, and anything else that should level up when they do, wont. But hey, thats what Besieged is for, right?

Um, hi. This is FFXI, not rocket science. Once you get Flash the Paladin class doesn't change at all while leveling. You Flash. You provoke. You cure for hate. 90% of Paladins didn't know how to use Cover BEFORE LSyncing was an option so nothing as changed. You act as though people get BRAND NEW ABILITIES every damn level; they're lucky if they get something new every 10, much less every single one.

Frankly, the skillups can be gotten within an hour/2 hours tops if you have Martial Master. So really, you're just bitching to bitch, because people now level faster than you do. I reluctantly started doing endgame again after maxing out all jobs. The linkshells I'm in now are very successful and we have a diverse group of people. Some pro-bot, some anti-bot. Botting is still considered cheating to the self-righteous console players and some won't hesitate to report you. I've seen some top of the line characters banned because of it. I put in too much time in my char and I can't take that risk. People GM call for the dumbest things and SE bans for the dumbest things.

Before i get flamed... i eventually got maat's cap, not to mention every possible job to 75, that's 20 75s. The only thing i liked in the game was exp'ing and leveling. Whenever an endgame shell needed me on a certain job I simply capped the appropriate skill at Boyahda Tree off steelsheels and was good to go. Leveling this way doesn't gimp a player if you have some common sense and a good understanding of this game (veteran ffxi addicts LOL). Don't be a noob tho,go skillup and cap that skill!!

I was a leveling freak and exp maniac. This was what I did, of course i did this before the rise of the popular summoner burn that ppl do nowadays. I 3-boxed here all the time, always managing my parties. 75 rdm (PL bot lol) and 75 brd (double ballad bot lulz) in PL pt. Get 5 extremely good melee, piercing or GreatAxe War or Drks. 6th pt member is a brd/nin or cor/nin who can pull just like 75 merit pt. 20k/hr plus with zero downtime. Best spot is the L-shape stone wall. For me, bots=efficiency

before you flame me down, you have more acc cuz of skill which is a HUGE deal at these low levels and not to mention sturmwind will destroy these guys. i know i know they are weak to piercing, but the gain in acc will boost your DoT more than using a polearm, even with a couple merits in it =D

Ive done this w/ my Thf from 37-54 seeing that Dagger is capped and merited on my Pup and for the people that say doing this is making you gimped is retarded seeing that I can play my brothers account which has THF on it and still do my job Thf is not a hard job to play but i usually go w/ Sam/Warx3 Sam/Ninx2 Thf/War=me SATA Viper Bite takes half of there HP and using bloody bolts makes me even better of a DD then whoever we had in the party.

close to rivaling at best.. you lose the gear bonus's, the extra songs and the [main] fact that you dont *need* to replace anyone in merit parties.. since when the sync's target hits 42, you have to replace someone.. where you can go forever in merit parties technically

i had to PL one of these parties..... its not easy to heal when you have 200/1000 >.> after that i was just telling them no MP no MP and they kept pulling, things got real bad then :) but lesson learned.... "always listen to your PL... or you die"

yes, 40k/hr is impossible.. but his title says 25k/hr lol. i remember doing this but with 2 pullers. 1brd and 1 rdm. 1 puller is not enough to keep up... we also had someone to say the direction of where the next closest mob was too. think someone had widescan. but i still take my smn burn xp over any other xp anyday lol.

The new patch does not allow you to skill up in level sync Partys, It simply allows characters Lv.1-55 to skillup faster than normal. Once you get to Level 56 your normal skillup rate is returned.
So, as this is a good way to level up, dont forget you will need to join the occasional PT not in east ronfure S just to keep your skill up to date, or you will be spending the same ammount of time skilling up, that you would have done in a normal EXP PT anyway.

I didn't know this was an exploit.. Thought it was common sense- been doing this for a while. Haha. I went from NIN37-43 in an hour. :p Without a PL I was getting 18k/hr. Oh well- it's not worth missing the skill-ups in the weapon so I leave there @ 45 at the latest.

I would have to disagree i have gotten up to chain 100/ 26k/hour before and do it quite often with my friends at leypoint in wajoam. This strategy has a downfall as well, it requires a PL. Lvling in wajoam does not and its on par or better with polearm sams/drgs a brd or cor and a rdm. everyone stop judging jobs you haven't played/read about intensively also drgs can do pretty high numbers ive seen 2500-2800 drakebanes consistently in merit pts Alexander: Slayor: 75Sam/Rdm/Blu/War/Mnk/64drg

if you stick a knowledgeable person behind any job they can be a good DD even on pup. But drg has its limits obviously with good gear drg will be a good DD the same with every DD. Drg has more solo potential with /blu/rdm/blm/whm/pld etc and thus makes drg very versatile. Unfortunately other jobs have more Raw power over drg so they are grabbed instead of said drg. Drg is a wonderfull DD, soloist and a fun job but if we look at dmg only it is outclassed unless its piercing weak monsters by most.

My friend got his RDM from 1 to 75 in 2 days. With this exploit in Korroloka Tunnel. tho he uses 5 SMN's, and 1 normal job which can be whatever. a PL is needed.

Gustav Tunnel is better now since not much people know about it. Same set up with PL but have more Samurai's with Seigon makes PLer a bit more lazy and can play on his PSP or DS or read a book while lookin at the screen every two to three minutes.

That said, what part of this is an exploit, besides the PL? >.> Looks to me like an ordinary melee cannon on Ladybugs/Colibris with a PL to keep you alive. You can do that anywhere that has enough mobs who respawn fast, so long as the mobs are low enough that a PL can keep a PT going easily enough, and you have people to sync to. Ronfaure [S] is a nice camp, though.
