I wish our family could be adpoted by Ben Cartright. We could do an addition on the back of their ranch house. It would be awesome, riding the property, mending fences, making friends with squatters, getting in fights in town when people questioned our integrity, and eating some good frontier grub at lunch and dinner. I'm on it.
@HarpoLaughs Oh i would soooooo join you too!!! Ahh that would be the life, wouldn't it... Always wanted to know what Hop Sings cooking tastes like? LOL
our family saw Hoss and Lorne Green at the state fair. they rode around the rodeo arena in a convertible sitting up on the back and waving at everyone. They drove close by the railing and Hoss stuck his hand out and touched as many of the kid's hands as he could.
I like the part when Ben says, "That oldest boy of mine, Adam, oh, he's real calm in an emergency." And then Adam punches a guy in a fight and shoots another guy's beer.
Thanks for the comments Westernran. I believe the episode that 2'07 is from is Feet of Clay, where Hoss befriends a little boy named Billy, whose outlaw father he is forced to kill.
Man, Raindrop4419, that is a tough one. I actually got that clip from the "Back to Bonanza" special shown back in 1993 I believe. So I don't actually know which episode it came from. But I like challenges, so maybe I can help dig it up just for the heck of it, or maybe someone else can come up with it. Otherwise I hope you ejoyed the video.
the one where ben says it isn't always easy for a father to understand, ask my boys i'm sure they found me rather difficult at times. what episode is that clip from?

That is one of the cool things about these actors. I think they really enjoyed what they were doing. Well, everyone except Pernell Roberts.
