I'm going to be honest and say I hadn't heard this track until Tensnake featured it on his Resident Advisor podcast from earlier this year.
It fit so well amongst current tracks in his tracklist that I was under the assumption it was a soon to be released nu-disco track. Imagine my surprise to find this track is 27 years old!
The track is wonderful, and in my opinion the production quality is completely on par with stuff released today in this niche.
It must have. This was ahead of it's time, much like Xena's 'On the Upside', which formerly was posted here but removed for rights violations. I no longer have either the photo or the vinyl of Kym, unfortunately.
There was a shorter version w/more vocals that I actually prefer to this mix. Kym worked really hard on this project. I think that it was recorded and mixed in a Virginia studio. In fact, I think that this was the b-side of the radio edit. I have a picture of her-not a publicity shot, just a casual shot of her that you could post if you like. You probably should ask her permision, though. Not sure if she's still singing, but this truly was a worthy song in Baltimore.
I'm looking for it at the moment. Once I had the 12 inch on colored vinyl, but I'm afraid that it is now gone. The pic remains-just need to search for it.

I saw you moving, and my mind was locked in a trance,
You were rocking and popping, I just can't beleive how you danced,
your body atracts me and I want you all to myself,
but I turned around you had moved in on somebody else...
GIVE ME THE DANCEEEE / (give me the chance)
When I moved in closer to get into your line of view,
my body is burning, hoping to get next to you ,(aaah)
the choice is all yours you can ,,,,,,,,
PERFECT SONG !!! lyrics / voice are a must

83/Baltimore? Wow ... that style is so 86 or 87/chicago. I wonder if the track fell into a few chicago hands ...

Yes It has fell in quite a few hands here in Chicago. Not to many love this style of music. but that's ok, more for me...

I heard Mark Grusane play this in a mix. Mark owns a used record store in Chicago called Mr Peabody's.

I've heard it before, and had downloaded is as an mp3 off a blog. But to be honest, had completely forgotten about it until you put it up.

A great track for sure.
Were you familar with this track before or did you just hear it for the first time tonight?
I only have one copy I am afraid.Seems quite hard to find? There's none, for example, on Discogs.
I hope you manage to find a copy soon!
