I got it! Kane goes into a feud with the Undertaker! Wait, hear me out, Undertaker partners with him and some way accidentally burns him in some fire gimmick match. Kane is "out" of action for a while and when he comes back, he wears his mask again because his face is, once again, embarrassingly hideous. Then he fueds with Taker and ends his streak! OK, he doesn't end his streak, but he does wear his mask once again. :) I like it.
