  • Any recipe that starts out with the Cajun Trinity *has to be* good!! :) Thanks again for another amazing recipe, Betty.

  • Thanks for your comment!

  • you cook such amazing food, and you're super-fit! how do you maintain fitness when there's so much tempting food around?

  • I only eat small portions. I don't deny myself any kind of food, I just make sure I eat small amounts.

    --Betty :)

  • Betty! You are a hot southern women! I'm only 28 but I had to say it. this is better than the food network. screw all that corporate shit.

  • Thanks for your compliment!

  • Hi Betty,

Thanks for the video. I was curious, what brand hot dogs aer you using here, they look great. thank you very much.

  • These were a "store brand" called "Value" from Kroger. They are actually very good! Thanks for your question!

    --Betty :)

  • this looks like a show on the food network. Its good. Great job.

  • Thank you for your kind comment! You are so sweet!

    --Betty :)

  • home made sauce is always better.

I prefer my dogs to be all beef and a heated bun.

  • That sounds great! Thanks for viewing and commenting!

    --Betty :)

  • Very nice...i plan to make a business of hot dog in mauritius, and this topping is very very good..thanx a lot Betty

  • That's wonderful! You are very welcome for the topping!

    --Betty :)

  • theres no BBQ sauce :S

  • No, the sauce that I put over the hot dogs gives them the BBQ flavor. Some people may prefer bottled BBQ sauce, but we really like this sauce! Thanks for your comment!

    --Betty :)

  • Ohh Ok :)

  • I made this last night and it was really delicious. I didn't have any dry mustard and I didn't have the celery and it still was very tasty. A good recipe to add to my recipe collection.

  • Thanks for your wonderful feedback! A lot of people just overlook this recipe, but it is surprising how good it really tastes! Thanks for your lovely feedback!

    --Betty :)

  • OMG....these look sooooooo goood!!! LOL

  • This is one way to make hot dogs the star of dinner! Thanks for your lovely comment!

    --Betty :)

  • i like coneys

  • I do, too! These are not authentic "Coney Island" hot dogs, just barbecued hot dogs. Thanks for your comment!

    --Betty :)

  • hi betty is this ure own recepie or is it a known recipie out there? please let me know. thanks.. they look yummy

  • This is just the way my family makes them--I'm sure these are not like authentic "Coney Island" hot dogs--but they are very tasty! Thanks for your comment!

    --Betty :)

  • I wish I look this good when I turn 60 , do you do yoga?

  • Sorry to be so late in getting back to you! No, I don't do yoga, but I try to work out about 4 times a week. I do cardio and weight lifting. I also watch my diet carefully. I only eat a small portion of the rich things I make in bettyskitchen. I eat a lot of fruits and vegetables and tuna. You have probably noticed in my cooking that I substitute fat free/ sugar free ingredients, when it doesn't harm the recipe. Thanks for your sweet compliment!

  • Betty that looks yammy!!what kind of ice tea do you drink?:)

  • Thanks! I use any brand. For a pitcher, I use 1 family-size teabag and 1 individual-size teabag. I posted a video on making tea, it you are interested. It's called "Betty's Iced Tea + Tour of Betty's Pattern Glass Collection." Thanks for commenting!

  • Thanks for your sweet comment! I understand "busy"-- I have been very busy lately, also. Take care, and we'll be in touch later!

    --Betty :)

  • Do you say "Hi, I'm Betty, and welcome to Betty's kitchen" every time someone walks into your kitchen? LOL! Love your food Betty!

  • No, just when *you* come!

    --Betty :)

  • I promise I'll get around to actually making one of your recipes. :]

  • Thanks! I hope you find something that appeals to you. I really appreciate your looking at some of them and making some comments!

    --Betty :)

  • That looks ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! I'm not really a fan of hotdogs, but I have to have one of these. I'll probably make them tomorrow. :-)

Also, instead of Ice Tea, I may have a Long Island! ;-D

  • Thanks! (I don't like hot dogs that much, either--but this sauce is really good.) Enjoy your Long Island tea!

    --Betty :)

  • I wish I had more people to cook for! I grew up in a large family, and when I cooked, it was for 8! Now, it's just me and my husband. Thanks for your comment!

  • yum betty that is delious! thanks for taking effort making this video.

  • You're welcome! My husband and I actually chose to have the coneys for 4th of July, because we had already had a cookout with the family earlier in the week! I hope you enjoy them. Thanks for your comment!

    --Betty :)

  • Very nice, hot dog toppings are always interesting to play around with. Your bbq sauce for them looks great.

On a separate note, I wanted to say that I made your baked mac & cheese yesterday with reduced fat cheddar cheese -- it turned out excellent. I've never been able to successfully make a proper roux and cheese sauce before, but your recipe worked very well. Thanks!

  • Thanks for your comment on the BBQ hot dogs. I am so happy that your macaroni turned out well! You can replace almost any cheese in my recipes by a fat-free cheese (like cream cheese) or low-fat variety (for recipes like nachos, etc.) Thanks for being such a loyal viewer, and for the great feedback you have given me!
