Betty- I enjoyed your video on Coney Island hot dogs - looks yummy ....I thouhgt I send you a video response on a original song my partner and I wrote 20 years ago about Coney Island in NY- wish I used a picture of your hot dogs in my video - hope you like the song
No, the sauce that I put over the hot dogs gives them the BBQ flavor. Some people may prefer bottled BBQ sauce, but we really like this sauce! Thanks for your comment!
I made this last night and it was really delicious. I didn't have any dry mustard and I didn't have the celery and it still was very tasty. A good recipe to add to my recipe collection.
Thanks for your wonderful feedback! A lot of people just overlook this recipe, but it is surprising how good it really tastes! Thanks for your lovely feedback!
This is just the way my family makes them--I'm sure these are not like authentic "Coney Island" hot dogs--but they are very tasty! Thanks for your comment!
Sorry to be so late in getting back to you! No, I don't do yoga, but I try to work out about 4 times a week. I do cardio and weight lifting. I also watch my diet carefully. I only eat a small portion of the rich things I make in bettyskitchen. I eat a lot of fruits and vegetables and tuna. You have probably noticed in my cooking that I substitute fat free/ sugar free ingredients, when it doesn't harm the recipe. Thanks for your sweet compliment!
Thanks! I use any brand. For a pitcher, I use 1 family-size teabag and 1 individual-size teabag. I posted a video on making tea, it you are interested. It's called "Betty's Iced Tea + Tour of Betty's Pattern Glass Collection." Thanks for commenting!
I wish I had more people to cook for! I grew up in a large family, and when I cooked, it was for 8! Now, it's just me and my husband. Thanks for your comment!
You're welcome! My husband and I actually chose to have the coneys for 4th of July, because we had already had a cookout with the family earlier in the week! I hope you enjoy them. Thanks for your comment!
Very nice, hot dog toppings are always interesting to play around with. Your bbq sauce for them looks great.
On a separate note, I wanted to say that I made your baked mac & cheese yesterday with reduced fat cheddar cheese -- it turned out excellent. I've never been able to successfully make a proper roux and cheese sauce before, but your recipe worked very well. Thanks!
Thanks for your comment on the BBQ hot dogs. I am so happy that your macaroni turned out well! You can replace almost any cheese in my recipes by a fat-free cheese (like cream cheese) or low-fat variety (for recipes like nachos, etc.) Thanks for being such a loyal viewer, and for the great feedback you have given me!
So yummy

Also, instead of Ice Tea, I may have a Long Island! ;-D
