@13thmistral Thats what i meant tho. it seems that this thing will stop smart weapons fired from safe distance. and the only way to get it a hit on that armor is to shoot from like 100 ft away with an unguided weapon system. Which will either get blown up and you with it or they gonna turn around and blow you up. So why not use a rifle to disable the tank, it is really hard for a tanker crew to find snipers.

but special, and not used much

most armoured verhicles can witstand anny .50bmg round, so the most populair anti-materiel class will not do much good

so you then shoud look at 14.5x114mm rifles and 20mm rifles

and even then....

unless its an updated jeep or something like that....

most verhicles that are now build with already at the beginning the idea that it needs armour will even withstand those things

even if im wrong and there are still manny verhicles that can be penetrated by 20mm vulcan or something like that, those rifles weigh 16-25kg

and most 20mm's have an efective range of 1800km

@13thmistral Yeah, RPG-7 ain't that great anymore unless you hit the sweet spots. I feels like RPG7 are better used to disable a armored vehicle rather than burn the crew inside. And yes, I love vulcan on a M113. Those things were beast. Tho i think i did take a tunguska over a Vulcan. I always feel like that 20MM will knock out a modern tank's sensors quickly and render the armor none combat effective although it will still be able to limp around.

though i dont know for sure, i think that that means it can just fire a smoke grenade and kinda get away because of that

though detecting the direction of the shots....

the armour of this thing shoud be able to even protect against big anti-tank rounds

though i dont know for the rest but if this thing also has some infrared vision

so besides the fact a 20mm sniper will do no harm they coud choose

try to search you by uav's, ride towards you and over you or smoke you from a distance :)

@13thmistral That leave another good point. I think the best counter for UAV is a Glass roof. IR can't go through glass therefore render UAV's IR usless. Or you could just hide under some structure also. I think. Without IR, spotting anything is way too hard.

it seems like this is something all wester armies will have within 5 years atleast the US since they good frends with israel. they pobably ment 360 degres in all axis around the tank. think of wath this can do to a western tank around 60 t (m1a2/leo2a7) and drop it down to 30 tons and make it twice as mobile.
