  • That's two two many humbuckers for a Tele. All of those magnets pull on the strings and rob the guitar of its natural spank.

  • awesome!!

  • How do you think the hot stack would sound on a standard tele for indie rock type stuff? Does it still have a good crunch?

  • nice!

  • hey there how did you fit the mini-hb? did you have to cut open the pickguard or something? cheers :)

  • Oh shut up.

  • Is there any difference between in this guitar and the thinline ? Or it's the same ?

  • Hey ! I have a telecaster thinline too ! And whats the difference between this guitar and a telecaster body solid ?!

    and good tone too !

  • what bride pickup are u using? i really like that tone

  • Ok this is kind of a weird question, but I wanted to know if it is possible to install this inbetween the middle and neck pickup of a strat...I still want all the single coil pickups but I want to get that nice humbucker tone. Is that possible and do you think it would sound ok?

  • what on earth did you sell such a fantastic sounding guitar for??!! I hope it was for a noble cause. nice guitar! kinda wish i had bid on it.

  • Marvelous sounding axe.....what is the amp?

  • What kind of mini-bucker is that in the neck position?

  • I watched this first a few months ago and it gave me tele gas! I bought a USA standard last week and what the hell have i been missing?! Haha, thank you for being part of the reason i decided to buy/try one :)

  • Very cool! Very Bren Mason-y. I know who ever bought it is loving it every day, like many of us would!

I am putting together a Warmoth Tele with a similar set up:

Dimarzio Twang King singles in the bridge and neck and a hotminibucker in the middle with a normal tele 3-way switch (neck, neck/bridge, bridge) and have an extra knob, like Brent, to "bleed" in the sound of the mini into any position or roll the singles' volume all the way off and just have have the mini.

  • Great sounding guitar

  • Can you describe the Hot Stack and the Joe Barden.

(music freak, guitar noob ;o) )

  • Hey Stuart, I've been trying to strengthen the independent sound of my Mexican Tele. I put a Joe Barden in the bridge so far, and in looking for an answer as to what I should put in the neck I cam across your video. I just have a simple question: I'm stuck between the Seymour duncan Antiquity II Mini Humbubker [like you have] and then custom Seymour Duncan SM-2, do you have any input? how does the antiquity blend with the barden?

  • Hey is there any sort of a wiring diagram for this? I'm building a tele right now, and this is absolutely what I want! With so many options, it's almost like the PRS 513, but I think probably more affordable to build! Anyway great playing and VERY cool guitar!

  • Awesome "Franken-Tele"! Very versatile. It is great to have such a skilled guitar tech. Great demo and playing as well (nice right hand technique in particular).

  • OMG now finally i have a clearer idea about a luthier built tele.

how did you wired all the pickups and the splitters?

  • Man, this guitar can do more things than a PC. I bet it can run windows and linux and leopard at the same time. I love it. I wouldn't sell it. Great work!

  • @dnzota

    Linux sucks SO hard

  • GODLY TONE, got to remember this vid ....

  • Very interesting démonstration !

I Will pût 3 pickup on my future home made Tele ... 

  • its like a les paul/ strat/ tele combo :)

  • @SearchInSun

it's like a les paul deluxe/extremely hot strat/modern tele, in other words nothing like any of those guitars except for the construction. Sorry if I'm being "purist" or "anal" about it.

  • @WoWintosh Yeah, but it wouldn't be bad as a 4th or 5th Tele.

  • What pots and caps did you use on this setup? Thanks

    Mark

  • How did you mount the mini humbucker? Is it directly into the body? If so could you describe how?

  • i think its mounted in the pickguard with an adapter. the cream ring is the adapter to get from the standard humbucker size to the mini.

  • very nice guitar dude!! nice JAM!!

  • Nice Tele! What amp are you using? How much are you selling it for? Thanks!

  • It is a plain old blues junior. The guitar had a buy it now of £750. It was bought yesterday.
