  • @puffingwind can this pocket stove serve as a wood stove?

  • the pan is a "One Egg Pan" you find them at Walmart or Target...for about 7 dollars or less....i use the top from a grease pot sold at Walmart...or i just use a tortilla over the pan to warm up my tortilla and cover the pan....

  • What brand is the pan? I see two or three like it at Walmart, one has lid.

  • man, i want to go camping or back packing so bad! but somewhere in the tropics like hawaii

  • Ah, I remember when my hexi cooker was clean and soot-free... :)

  • Rub soap on your pan bottom. It will make the soot clean up easy.

  • i heard that if you put it on its side it burns faster

  • shit product, u would get better heat with a piece of wood burning under this thing and it dosent cost anything

  • @pissdrinkingindians but its take 60min to put on your mouth...

  • great little stove, That would be enogh egs for me though LOL

  • I plan to pick one of these up. Thanks for the demonstration!

  • Decided to pick one up after watching this video. I used a portable Sterno stove in the past. Will use the Esbit when I need to keep pack weight down :)

  • A small tip for you. Push a depression or cavity in both halves of your bread and it will increase the capacity of the bun.

  • @Tankdriver100

only bread i had, i use a fltat bread i will show in my next video...thanks for ur info

  • Cool, you're all set for post-apocalyptic cooking :)

  • Now I'm hungry :) Nice video!

  • Looks like a quick and easy way to start your morning. :)

  • The esbit stove and tablets are light weight and take up little room in a pack.

Great for ultralight packing. I was disappointed in the amount of residue left on the cup. Makes for messy situation when packing up. Not a easy clean up either. I use this as a back up more than a primary cook system.

    Thanks for the video.

  • @drtrydr724 If you lay alu-foli as protection in the bottom before you lit the stove, you don´t need to clean the mess up,

  • Who gives a shit how the guy cooks his egg. Sweet stove

  • can you save the un used fuel to re light for another meal or is it a one light deal?

  • @802bucknasty, by blowing out the table u can re use what left, if u need to start up a fire pit , u can use kindle to start up a fire or just use it to make a hot cup of water for tea or coffee...

  • @802bucknasty

yes ....if ur done u can blow out the fuel and reuse it to start a fire or heat up some water..if u have enough time left...

  • @PuffingWind So far i haven't succeed in saving any fuel. the fire got too strong to blow out at the end.. I just break the cubes into smaller pieces according to what i need.

  • how light is it? weight?

  • @PuffingWind the weight on this stove is 3.25 oz very light weight

  • nice demo, I am impressed, think I'll buy one too.

(btw: that egg was ready to eat at 3:40, it has more taste when it's not totally well done)

  • @Jesteria78 ....like my eggs well done, but i was ham it up for the video...:)

  • @Jesteria78 ha.. i never seen eggs cooked that long before!

  • @shinnecockwarrior

I just play it up for the video...testing the stove...tc

  • make your tin foil lot smaller bend up sides the bottom holes in stove is for a better up draft for fire. Also i made a small alcohol stove for all mine and it stay inside stove fold up

  • LOL - you need to quit manipulating the eggs! Let them set for awhile, and they'll not be so crumbly when you're done.

  • @Jollyprez .... lol yeah ur right, over kill but it was still good..thanks.. :)

  • Hi this is just my view of the stove I had for my first stove I thought is alright to start off with but I found it just turnt all the pots and pans black which is y I bought a new trangia for £15 in millets sale nice video I'm led in bed made me hungry I could almost smell it from here

  • Mumm--mm smells good. Is the Hexamine stove the same as the Esbit Stove? Also, is the Sterno folding stove just as good as the Esbit? Which one should I buy and why? Thanks for posting this demo and sharing your breakfast with us.

  • @knowledgeispowerfful Yes hex and esbit are basically the same .. the sterno is a little more costly but alows you to use gel fuel as well and supports larger pots .. the stove is also sold by coglans and comes with 24 tablets, and you can get refills easy enough .. the tabs can sit inside the stove so packing is simple. These are great systems and work well with MSR kits .. soap the pans and kettles and they clean up almost as good as new .. nice vid btw

  • I'll be buying one after your demo helped me decide. Is there a way to put the Esbit tablet out? Your eggs were done at 3:50, by the way! Made me chuckle to watch you overcook your breakfast.....

  • thats awesome and that man really likes he's coffee lol

  • Cool thanks for the info bro, im gonna go purchase one.

  • I'll purchased the Esbit stove at REI for about 9.95 and purchase the esbit tablet for 5.95 for 12 tablets....under 20 dollars....tablets last about 13/15 mins

  • @PuffingWind I bought a russian surplus esbit made of copper for $3 and it came with 6 tablets.

  • How much did the stove cost you? Really cool!

  • Great video man, Im a big fan of this stove myself. Hopefully i get one of these things soon!
