No, I haven't yet. Sadly New York City rent isn't conducive to paying for out of state tution on my own as well. I could go on and on about how lame it is that i'm 23 and can't get grants because the gov't things that my parents should pay for it... hahahaha right.

I believe you don't have to pay out-of-state tuition once you've lived in the state for one year for purposes other than solely school. Did you know school loans can be used to cover rent too? Sure, it'll add up and you'll be paying out your ass once school's done, but if you're low on money every once in awhile you can supplement it with your student loans. I think there are also grants for people who have been out of school for x amount of time.
