Quite true. That is a very positive outlook. I thorougly dislike Reality TV though. I prefer British TV shows like this because a large portion of the shows we get here in the U.S. are usually some Reality TV rubbish.
...and the US versions of UK shows are really terrible...I bought two Region 2 dvd players a few years ago & willingly will pay the post from AmazonUK or EbayUK to get decent shows. BBCAmerica has totally turned to shite, and has always had crap ads. Occasionally a mystery will be OK, but too much Fballers Wives, celebrity chef, etc. Even Top Gear is vanishing. Check out Shameless from Channel 4. 'orribly rude!!
Yeah, we are getting Spaced re-made for the US. It is going to be another TV show, like Red Dwarf, having all of its greatness be lost in translation because most of the American audience will not understand it. The great stuff created by BBC should be just brought over here as is and onto the TV. I will indeed pay for the series made by BBC. To name a few, Black Adder, Black Books, The Young Ones, Monty Python, which are only a couple of which I know. Please give some suggestions for shows.

No, it's not legal to discriminate. The law changed in the 70's. It is legal to restrict employment based on company grooming or safety standards, which can include long hair, or even (God forbid) White suburban kids with dreads. I well remember having to grease down my hair in the 60's & 70's so reactionary types would stop saying "Get your hair cut, hippie!" Looking like a greaser was ok to them, but "long" hair was out.
