I've seen almost every docu of the Frank/Van Pels (Van Daan), both amateur & pro-- but I think this is one of the best I've ever seen. What a lovely, moving video documentation of your trip, & what a loving tribute to Anne. The way u edited, & interspersed the pictures & music- u did a great job! I was literally misty eyed while watching this.. Have u ever considered doing something like this professionally? Like, producing a docu about Anne Frank & her life in hiding? I think u should!

@stickygum4 Of course there were pictures of hundreds of emaciated and dead inmates (not just jews)...because they were starving or had died due to starvation and disease--mainly typhus!

Since the allies were bombing the shit out of the supply lines to the camps, they are responsible for most of the deaths, as they knew the camps were there! The Red Cross had been monitoring the camps from the outset of the war, and they never made any mention of atrocities--BECAUSE THERE WERE NONE!

I really regret not visiting the Anne Frank home when i had an 11 hr stay over at the airport back dec' in 07'. I was affraid i would miss my flight to Romania to see a girl i spoke with online for over a yr. Now, 4 yrs later. The trip would have been worth the money if i had seen the house and never went to Romania at all. I can't even afford to do it now and really wished it did then.

I really want to visit the house. I think I would cry a fountain tho. She was such an intelligent adolescent. She had very deep thoughts and a very bright way of thinking. I've read 2 versions of her diary. And watched the movies, seen the documentaries of Meip Gies... I hope to meet her some day.. even if heaven doesn't exist. She was an inspiration.

I visited this house in 1992, it had not yet fully become the tourist museum of recent years and was an utterly haunting and moving experience. I swear once you reach the canal bridge leading into Princengracht and you close your eyes the trams rolling by almost feel like nazi tanks rumbling past, the sound goes right through the cobbles and into your feet and until your open your eyes it is a little scary.

It is amazing to see this through your video, although I had already seen it in my head, I must say her depictions in the diary is very accurate because it looks exactly as I pictured it in my head as I read the book, it makes me very sad the lenghts men wen to cause people suffering like the one she and her family and many others endured during this sad episode in the history of the world....thanks for the video.
