never got metal gear solid 4, I enjoyed the first one especially the cube remake twin snakes.... but 2 threw me off never botherd with 3 and when 4 came out i was like yeah il play this, bought it watched intro played the for 15 mins never touched it again, I dunno but something about giant Moo'ing mech gun turrets threw me off.

I wouldn't call it perfect, it was definately cinematic and had good game play elements.

Only problems I had were some cut scenes were too long and unnecessary and they kept trying to do silly stuff that killed the serious feel of the game.

And there were too many cut scenes.

Kojima did what he intended to do: he ended a series with grace and style, tied all the loose ends, and still managed to introduce new ideas. I think he really achieved that grave, melancholic tone that followers of the series needed and that new gamers can appreciate. Realistically there are considerable flaws ... and the japanese-translated script has always been notoriously sucky. Now if creators can learn to work on that ... well hey, I have faith in the gaming industry, it's been growing:)

Even back in the mgs1 days i thought they shouldnt make it into a movie, simply because mgs is already a lot like a movie already.

I couldnt see how it could be done well. Nowadays there's too much material aswell, plus they'd be trying to satisfy the gaming audience and actually make a thought-provoking picture (rather than a spec FX cash cow) at the same time.
