  • I don't care who you are, there ain't no way you can fly with that much tape in the main rotor. The rest of that should really polish right out.

  • There are a lot of accidents but not a huge amount of fatalities. Most of them in Australia are related to cattle mustering and tail rotors striking the ground (and sometimes cattle) :-S Still probably safer than driving or living in the shitty area in a large city

  • They say red tape is the biggest cause of helicopter accidents, most manufacturers have now switched to yellow tape

  • Injured perhaps, but not dead.

  • i wouldnt be to happy

  • Look at the structure. Cabin, canopy, rotors and mast al intact. That's not a wreck or a coffin. Just a pretty hard landing.

  • R44 = safe, VFR in IMC = not safe. Get it straight.

  • DAMN! Distroyed the hell out of it! Whats so BAD about it is if you mess up even just a LITTLE while "driving" one of these, it's GAME OVER! Especially for the helicopter! These things take only SECONDS to be from $200k to instant junk yard!

  • Goes to show how ignorant people are blaming the helicopter for crashing. HelloooOO theirs a man flying it.. The same people would put blame on a car crashing and not the driver. Clueless ignorant fools.

  • @yumyumsashimi or a women driving it blink blink

  • @yumyumsashimi Ignorant fools? I assume you were part of the FAA investigation team on this incident. Oh, you weren't?!?!?!?

    Who is the ignorant fool?

I am not going to try and guess either way as to what happened here. It's just that it seems a little ironic that you would call someone else an ignorant fool while making an ignorant comment in the same breath.

  • @Jrstok you are clearly one of the heards of ignorant humans out their.. as if you have a clue.

  • that makes me a sad panda

  • One of the most sound? As opposed to a lawn mower? they're chinsey and dropping like molotov cocktails. You can fly wood if you like, but I've seen too many of these doubling as coffins to get NEAR one, PERIOD. I'm not interested in being a guinny pig for that company, but obviously quite a few too many are. NOTHING surpasses the safety record and life expectant airworthiness of a Bell. Don't argue with me go arfue with the statistics. Thanx. Fly smart... fly Bell.

  • and the stats prove that most of these mishaps are during training flights......not very cost effective training in a 206 is it.....

  • Exactly, if one can afford to do all training in a Bell is because that person is very wealthy and doesn't need to be a pilot most likely.

  • they flew into IMC at night in toole utah. both walked away a little bloody

  • These robinsons are death traps.

  • Yeah, i know.

Well thats just what happens in a Robinson product. Oh, and Photowork, the tail rotor tends to fail when you take it out of trim.

  • what happened?

  • There's the problem- damn red tape in the main rotor.

  • @FlightLevelHeaded ROFL. but why the tape able to withstand the tremendous power from the engine? I wonder the tape material. n_n

  • I guess the occupants survied eventohugh it was a hard landing the canopy is quite intact.

  • they**

  • Did the occupants survive this crash?

  • bad buss
