Mr. Yamamoto is the master. Super glue the Senko to the hook shank my friends, they last alot longer! Watch my videos....the proof in right there for you to see! A 5" Senko rigged texas style onto a 3/0 ewg Gamakatsu hook is the rig of the century!
@purplefish1100 They're great but they're don't durable at all. The best way to rig them is wacky rigging, purchase O-Rings if you want them to last longer
I really need to use this technique more often. Far too many times have I pulled the hook completely out of the fish's mouth from an agressive hook set.
Why are Senkos so good? I am just wondering. Can someone please explain to me? I found one at my local dock...just sitting there. Completely unused. It is white. Perfect condition. I tried it...I've actually tried it several times. I have never even gotten a bite. Am I doing something wrong? I just texas rig it and bounce it off the bottom slowly, using a small slip sinker.
Well the fact that it's white is probably your biggest problem. I know some people can catch them on it but I have never had any luck on a white worm (white spinner now is another story). Try a watermelon or pumpkin color (many varieties in this color range). Senko's are good because they are a hand poured plastic which just have a better natural movement when they fall in the water.
@shrubberystomper53 exactly damn straight watermelon with red and black flake is the best fisherman shouldnt even bother with spinners or poppers cuz yamamoto is the best
this is exactly what i have experienced using senkos. the things are so damn heavy that you dont feel the fish till you jig it and it pulls back. best soft plastics i ever used right after robo worms.
The catch rate on senkos are ridiculous compared to any other baits. I can never use any other bait because senkos just work so well. When I do switch to a different bait I just feel like its not catching enough fish so I always switch back to senkos. But please drop the price! Or have those walmart size packs again!
Yamamoto baits are by far the greatest baits on the market 5" thin senko and the new pro senko in grn pmkin blk flk color omg just caught my record 13.2 on it last week great bait if not the best!
I love these Senko baits. Florida Large mouth love them. I out fish all my buddies and they cant figure out how! WEIGHTLESS Red and green speckle seem to work best in day. Whats you favorite color?
@iTzzEuphoriaaaaaa I Texas rig them. Just cast into a good looking spot and let the bait sink to the bottom, or cast upstream and let it drift with the current. I've found the less you work the bait the more effective it is... just let it sink naturally. I catch largemouths and pickerel all day.
I love these baits I've tried other baits like berkley powerbait which will catch fish but no where near as much as the Gary Yamamoto baits. I slay the smallmouth here in Idaho with the dark green swimming senkos.
Well said! Gary Yamamoto baits are the best, BAR NONE! I have been largemouth fishing my whole life and nothing has come close to the senco! My most successful rig is a 5" (pumpkin orange with black and green flake) senco rigged Texas with a 3/0 Gamakatsu hook. I also prefer sufix elite line.
@MRbassmasterman Maybe since you are Mr. Observant you might want to get your glasses adjusted! I actually mispelled it as follows: SENCO not SINCO! So go get a job bum!
