You know what? I think that this is a different, if not better interpretation of our national anthem. If the regular version is a call to arms to repel the invaders, this version by Mr. Weinberg sounded like a mother telling her children tearfully about her harrowing experiences at the hands of the invaders and telling them to defend her in the future. Very unique perspective. Well done

you have completely ruined our national anthem, our national anthem is the most powerful anthem in this world and you made it sound like a funeral song. you got to apologize or 1.3 billion people will boycott you or even sue you.
I disagree that it sounded like a funeral song although it is true he misinterpreted how this should be played. I think it can happen to anyone especially when playing foreign anthems.
Diu Lee--I'm sorry you didn't like my version. I listened to many recordings and studied the words before making my own arrangement. I am aware of the historical meaning of the anthem, and believe it is best represented by a military band. But my idea was to present a more expressive (less march-like) version for the piano. I was sincere and apologize to you and any people from Zhong Guo who were offended.
Thanks for your nice performance !

This was taken by a student's father out in the audience. Then he made the clip and sent it to me, so I had no control over it. Sorry!
