  • I love what John said at the end: "Everybody seemed to be paranoid except for us two who were in the glow of love...everybody was sort of tense around us, ' what is she doing here at the session' or 'why is she with him'...all this sort of madness is going on around us because we just happen to want to be together all the time."

  • Happy birthday Ringo!

  • dis song go soooooo hard!

  • hahahah I love John sense of humor! "Ringo the only thing you need to answer is the phone!!!!" cracks me up!

  • pretty awesome that it took this far into the anthology before it mentions yoko ono besides her name in the credits

  • Notice how the only girlfriend/wife throughout this WHOLE thing that they talk about is Yoko? She wasn't completely responsible for their breakup, but she certainly was a factor.

  • @Juliasaysshutup Yoko tried with Paul first,I think she wanted a beatle, any beatle, and she won...

  • Wow...how fitting to end it on "While My Guitar Gently Weeps..."

Given what happens next to the Beatles...

No. No, I'm sorry, WHAT happesn next?

They continue making great songs and Yoko stays at home and out of the studio and she and John are happy and Paul and George are happy for them and Ringo's still happy and they keep making these great songs and NEVER NEVER NEVER break up and they're all alive today making these amazing songs!

    Right? ...Right? Please? :/

  • Ring is so laid back, I wish we could all be like Ringo. It seems to be that Yoko and John was kind of like an Anne Boleyn*Henry VIII situaiton; he is so in love he becomes obsessed and to he11 with everyone else.

  • Does anyone else guitlily find themselves thinking if only she'd written no on the bloody ceiling?

You can defend Yoko to the high heavens but it was still wrong that John brought her to rehearsals. Imagine if that happened in other proffessions. Imagine if a bus-driver insisted on his girlfriend sitting on the dash-board as he goes about his day or a psychaitrist who has her husband sit in on sessions.

  • no estoy segura si quiero ver la siguiente parte, creo que de aqui en adelante se me hace pesada y triste con la llegada de Yoko ono :(

  • Is it just me, or is the acoustic version of While My Guitar Gently Weeps almost better than the album version? It's more George-like. The album version is more Beatles-like. Either way, the song is a piece of art, and it will remain a piece of art.

  • @melgirl612 well, the version on love has strings orchestrated by George Martin as well so its like double George.

  • you cant blame the man when he falls in love, and you certainly cant blame the woman he fell in love with.

Things happen.. it's sad that The Beatles had ended ... but we all know they live on forever. <3

RIP JOHN and GEORGE. We send you Love and Light <3

  • thank you lennon the final gift to a great musiciam

  • George sure knew how to write a song fit for the mood.- a sad song for the sad times of the start oft the breakup of The Beatles.

  • todo es magnifico, la historia en voz de los FAB(ulo)4

  • Yoko had a part in their break up but them 4 had the other 50% of it.

  • Anybody that thinks Yoko caused the break-up of The Beatles is fooling themselves. They were heading towards the end, and it's easy to see in these videos. If anything, Yoko was just a catalyst. And if it wasn't going to be her, it would just have been something or someone else. The Beatles were on their way out, Yoko or not.

  • aqui esta la respuesta... yoko es la culpable

  • What's that song called? the one at the end... it's so cool...

  • Son, you should know that

  • It's an early take of While My Guitar Gently Weeps...the real version is also really cool, in a different way....another great George song...

  • While My Guitar Gently Weeps...

  • @sxfocksx

    while my guitar gently wips

George harrison... he made just a few, but thet are awesome!

  • @sxfocksx its called while my guitar gently weeps. i don't know where this version is from, but i like the original version found on the white album

  • @ertie1000 this acoustic version of While My Guitar Gently Weeps is form Beatles Anthology 3 CD set

  • @sxfocksx people have told you already, but it's while y guitar gently weeps. it is a very cool take of it though, isn't it? i love it!

  • It's such a thing, really, the Beatles' breakup...

It's like the Fall of the Roman Empire, or the rise of facism, or Hamlet, any great tragedy...

So many causes, and yet people always want to seize on just one it seems...

I do think it was a bit inconsiderate of John, if not Yoko, to always have her their recording and just break the club's "us only" rule without any consult. I love John, but it was a bit off.

And Ringo handled it... OK, but the other two HATED it... and then...

  • @obiwanobiwan13

Fall of the Roman Empire is the best way of putting it.

  • aun asi la odioooo!!! maldita yoko XD

  • People blame the beatles breaking up to Yoko, its not her fault, the beatles where all being inconsiderate of one another and John was the one who insisted that Yoko be there

  • i agreee. but to be fair yoko ono should have not been there. but no its not yokos fault that the beatles broke up.

  • It just all seems so sad when Yoko entered the picture...

  • listen to the version on the love album, its this with an orchestra . awesome

  • yoko's certainly the most intelligent and artistic of the beatle wives. it is important to realize she wasn't "dumb and pretty", looking for fame and money like paul's last wife. she knows a lot about their music and has carried john's legacy wisely.

  • I may sound Yoko-biased (though George was, and always will be, my favourite Beatle), but I also want to point out that she got her fair share of flack in Japan around this time, too, for not quite being their idea of the perfect mousy woman.

She was very brave and by no accounts a grave digger.

By the way, this version of While My Guitar Gently Weeps had ME weeping. My God I miss George sometimes.

  • Comment removed

  • Plus her LP with the Plastic Ono Band (not the John Lennon one) has one of the most righteously awesome art-rock songs of all time in the form of WHY.

  • Without meaning to sound like a conspiracy theorist, as the proof is in the pudding, the majority of this situation was orchestrated by the media, who needed an angle- and that angle was Yoko. Just one glance at some of the hateful mock-Japanglish headlines at the time only verifies this.

Yoko was a pretty talented artist in her own right. She almost single-handedly pioneered the fluxus movement (wikipedia it), and had performed with John Cage and her former husband, a very talented composer.

  • Very true!

I noted that..."It may have been my idea" suddenly. Disavowing any personal responsibility.

  • I know the next part is the break-up, makes me not want to watch it, you know?

Maybe it wasn't right for John to bring her in everyday. You have to put yourself in his place. He just fell in love, you always want to be with your lover.

The break-up was meant to be, everything happens for a reason.

  • while my guitar gently weeps, once of the best george´s songs

  • I think Across the Universe , The Long and Winding Road, and Let It Be are great songs but also you can tell they were about to break up by the songs also.

  • They should have had more about the other ladies, but why all this hate of Yoko?

She didn't do anything wrong. I think completed John, they were very simlar people. Also the band was already bending and starting to break when she entered the picture so don't blame her for the break up.

  • No that's true. But her presence did encroach on their arrangement and aided in making a tense situation even worse. It's like bringing your significant other to work everyday and having them sit there beside you at all times. Harrison pointed out in the DC that it wasn't so much that a stranger was there, but it was the vibe she was giving off, seeing the Beatles as something that stood between her and John. George and Neil also noted how uncomfortable it became.

  • i love that version of the song at the end.

yes they spent quite a bit of time on yoko,

oh well.i think its because hearing about maureen probably doesnt really compete.

  • hey did any one notice yokos the only beatle girl thats really mentioned

i mean they showed pix of jane and pattie and mo but theres a huge thing on yoko

i think its not fair and the only reason shes in it is cuz she helped to fund it

  • dont forget cynthia

  • Yoko sucks ass.

  • well, it happens that many of Beatles successes were Paul's! What do you want him to say: "Sgt Pepper wasn't my idea? or Yesterday wasn't really mine"?

About the MMT he was like "yes... it might have been my idea, but I'm not sure of wanting to take that responsibility", because everybody says it's a flop, though I personally don't think it is.

  • John Lennon was one of my favorite people of all time. Next to Bobby and John Kennedy, Malcom X, Martin L. King, and Jimi Hendrix, John was one of my favorites. But bringing Yoko Ono into the studio while recording was over the top! He should've left her ass at home. Deep down he knew the other lads didn't like that but he didn't care. I wonder what he would've done if it was a "real job". It truly was the beginning of the end when she showed up in the studio at the recordings.

  • bad album? what are you guys talking about? Beatles for sale? that was 4 years before this

  • I Love The Version of While My Guitar Gently Weeps, And I Must say that Every Artist Should thank The Beatles For Their Great Music

  • so true... I still say that even at their worst period...the music is a million times better than stuff out there these days..

  • damn right....every artist goes trough bad times or a bad album but the beatles been trough all that and their musik still remains....such a diference of todays artist whose songs are forgotten one month after their release date

  • That's the sadness of the Beatles, you know the story goes bad then dies.

Such beautiful music left to listen to though.

  • ITS a great documentary...the end is sad..knowing the problems were about to start.

  • Id seen this before and only started from Sargent Peppers, Ive been suprised how much ive enjoyed there earlier stuff (especially Hide your Love Away and Things we said today)

And enough Paul hating! Im sure he was trying his hardest!
