  • FUCK THIS.......I wanna watch it but on every fucking video there is An error ocured...FUCK THIS BULLSHIT

  • Penn's laugh is brilliant.

  • Funny enough if a unconvicted priest is a paedophile Bush is a coke fiend. He has points of hypocrisy which could be looked at lacking fact. Libertarians against presumption of innocence. First one I have seen.

  • I agree, quoting is not plagerism. As for scientology, no, they pissed off the South Park dudes into doing it when they refused to defy the Viacom cowards. I think Trey Parker said something like "oh fuck that..." Yeah one about lawyers like how they go after the church, while leaving school boards and ice cream truck industry and Disney and all these other groups with Children and Paedophile with less cause to trust interaction depending on their M.O.

  • do an episode of bullshit about lawyers......... DO IT NOW!!!

  • Ha ! Sony probably OWNS the song lyrics !

  • HIS laugh makes ME laugh

  • Will Penn & Teller ever have enough balls to make an episode about Scientology and really give the lawyers a chance to earn their money? Assuming of course that there is any bullshit in that cult.

  • @Leccare Ha, nice last line. :-)

  • [2 of 2] And for all you know, I could be a non-native English speaker. So next time, just answer the question or shut yer yap. Keep the idiotic postings to yourself.

  • And even if you WERE a non-native english speaker, you have good grammar.

Seriously, what OTHER forms of chyron DID you try?

  • I think I tried kyron, chairon, cairon and possibly some others. Anyway, our little spat is starting to bore the YouTube community, so we better wrap it up. Thank you for giving me the answer. No good deed ever goes unpunished, eh? Just don't call people liars, yeah? Take it easy.

  • I'm unsure on the aspect of quoting song lyrics in how it is legally suspect, but the way I see it is that by prohibiting it, is a violation of free speech, in the manner of expression. I see it as an arbitrary fear of the record companies of losing sales, or that by uttering the lyrics, you are some how stealing something, but as long as you credit it, would that not be admitting ownership to the company? It all seems unconstitutional.

  • Dumb question, but what's a "kyron" (mentioned at 1:00 mark)?

  • Google, is your friend.

  • Yes indeed, but clearly not yours or you would know it is unhelpful on this particular term (at least every spelling variant I could think of). If you know the answer, perhaps you would enlighten the class. If you don't, perhaps not commenting on this particular topic would be in order. Cheers.

  • Five second google search of the variant: chyron. I don't think you tried at all.

    Pretty simple.

If you want to take things as an insult go right ahead.

"In the television industry (especially in North America), a lower third is a graphic placed in the lower area of the screen, though not necessarily the entire lower third of it as the name suggests."

    I searched "define: chyron"

  • [1 of 2] So you're calling me a liar? Word of advice--people don't generally like that. You're liable to get your teeth kicked in doing that. You're wrong. I did Google the word before I posted. And your comment is idiotic since 'chyron' (a Greek etymon?) isn't exactly an obvious spelling choice. I tried several other spellings. Bear in mind, all I had to go on was my hearing of the word spoken quickly and indistinctly. I didn't know whether I was hearing it right.

  • Indirectly I am calling you a liar.

Kyron, cyron, chiron, chyron, ckyron??! IT IS SIMPLE

It was the first one that I thought of. Maybe you are just mentally deficient.

Obviously, I really don't care about offending you at all. Especially right now. Probably because you labeled it as a dumb question, or that you are giving me a lot to work with, as well as control over you. Not to mention your condescending tone in your second comment.

  • first of all, he is an atheist. you should do you homework. second of all. racism doesn't get us anywhere

  • No, Bush didn´t do drugs, atleast not marijuana.. but alcohol, last I checked, is a sort of substance, neh? So there´s one president that tried drugs, and another that drank too much, to set the record straight :P

And yes, lawyers are useful. Side-question: I can´t watch alot of the Penn says-bits, since they´re "not available in your country".. why is that? It was a few in political list and some here.

  • Same here. UK? Very annoying, I love these videos.

  • oh fuck yeah, this is the only video on the cspot channel available from canada!

are you planning on restricting your videos anytime in the future?

  • You are totally right about Obama's hypocrisy, and ending the drug war.

Penn: You spell libertarian wrong in your "Tags" section. You spell it "libretarian" . You should change it. --Serious stuff.

Cheer for the lawyers, but not the bar, and not the attorneys. ...Cheer more for the juries!

  • There ARE "Fair Use" laws, and you are protected by them, to the extent that you quote your source, and to the extent our nation still has the rule of law (minimal). Penn: Please google "Fully Informed Jury Association" find the site, and read everything on it. You will be a lot more powerful and better educated about the law if you do this. Google Also "Jury Fourth Branch of Government " and read what comes back on the Grand Jury and Presentment... You are smart enough to be an ally on this

  • Social Security is simply the work force minimally supporting the elderly & disabled. It's called civilisation.

Pasty fat white guys all complacent in American suburbs drunk on cheese-stuffed pizza, Budweiser & 3000 cable channels will try to tell you the world is just hunky dory & your masters love you. Meanwhile your family is being killed off.

    >"I love how Limbaugh ditto head conspiracy theorists & other assorted low-level shills claim documented fact is wild fantasy. Hilarious."

  • I love how Limbaugh ditto head conspiracy theorists and other assorted low-level shills claim documented fact is wild fantasy. Hilarious.

  • Bush hired half a dozen Cato Institute wonks to reiterate their work on dismantling Social Security and brainswashing the public into thinking it's a good thing. Cato has a war room dedicated to doing away with Social Security. Cato's founder Ed Crane does indeed want to do away with all government social programs and worker and consumer protections. it's the reason he founded Cato. That's why Cato's funded by ExxonMobil, JP Morgan Chase, Monsanto, Walmart, etc.

    Same old arch GOP crap.

  • yeah, i don't want a social security number either. it takes four guys to pay for one. i would greatly prefer keeping my money and investing it wisely. i don't see how it would benefit them considering they constantly borrow against and outright steal from the Social security fund. it would also make it much harder to levy an income tax without an SSN, therby decreasing their revenue yet again. they will not cripple themeselves to spite you. They're business men, not Captain Planet villians.

  • tonzimala you have no idea of what you are talking about, Libertarians hate republican agenda as much as the democratic agenda.

Yeah Limbaugh,Coulter etc quote it when they want to point something they dislike. Not for them agreeing with them.

  • Word.

    >>>"Libertarian = ultra right wing whack job John Birch Society and Joe McCarthy crap from 60 years ago, all gussied up in hip sounding 'libertarianism" and spewed by this fugly biker wannabe.

Penn & Teller's Cato Institute is one front organization for this crap, funded by ExxonMobil, Monsanto, Walmart, etc., and quoted by Limbaugh, Coulter, Hannity, etc.

Their goal is to get working people to vote Republican, against their economic interests."

  • ah. your silly tonz.

its nice to make shit up isn't it.

  • legalize weed for fuck sake

  • Rofl great laugh you have Penn, very contagious.

  • We know that Bush did all that stuff, but he's never admitted it.

  • ArgusEyes is a youtuber that you should debate

  • Correction on Bush - He was asked if he did coke or pot, he neither confirmed nor denied this. He went on to say something along the lines, that it wouldn't be a good idea, as a role model, to admit such a things and that it was all in the past. - Pure political speak, but says something in it's own right - you should be able to use those statements FTR

There are also a few people on the record who said he did use drugs. I think you are allowed to use their quotes as well. FTR

  • Irony? The joy morons take from my daily life is real.

  • Families surviving on Social Security or unemployment benefits, or receiving medical care through Medicare or Medicaid would be surprised to learn these programs are mythical. Wow, the power of the mind!

  • Mythical? The money they take from my paycheck is real.

  • Libertarian = ultra right wing whack job John Birch Society and Joe McCarthy crap from 60 years ago, all gussied up in hip sounding 'libertarianism" and spewed by this fugly biker wannabe.

Penn & Teller's Cato Institute is one front organization for this crap, funded by ExxonMobil, Monsanto, Walmart, etc., and quoted by Limbaugh, Coulter, Hannity, etc.

Their goal is to get working people to vote Republican, against their economic interests.

  • I'm a Libertarian because I believe people don't have the right to tell other people how to live their lives unless it harms someone else and that each person is responsible for themselves.

  • Hells yeah!

  • Libertarian = Arch-Conservative.

No corporate/banking regulations, no Social Security or Unemployment Insurance, no public heath care, no labor unions.

This fat fuck shills for the Cato Institute, corporate press release-laundering "think tank." He and Cato scholars (whores with PhDs) churn out "studies" and "documentaries" propagandizing for their corporate whoremasters, such as ExxonMobil, Monsanto, Walmart, etc.

Cato founder Ed Crane's personal vendetta is to wipe out FDR's memory.

  • Libertarian = Individual Liberty & Responsibility.

  • I dislike lawyers, not because they are bad but because there is a need for them. I'm currently under ~500Mb of laws (yes, I checked). I'm not even close to sure if I'm following all of it, even though I do try to do the right thing and obey them. That, to me, is silly. I think prior restraint should be moved to "prior reassurance" - having the right to at least ask "Is X legal" and get a legally binding response from the justice system rather then shoving your ass on the block for a test case.

  • I totally don't like party drugs and wish they were always used only for medicinal purposes. But I do agree with Penn that they all should be legal and it would solve many of our problems. The was on drugs is a joke. The drug cartels that are making bank and killing innocent people in the process don't want them legalized. Why cause they would be out of business.

  • Call Richard Dawkins a "Mid Priced Hooker" !

  • Well, you right on this but... It doesn't mean also that it should be illegal. It mean he does take it.

But, this fact does create a problem: what credibility the cops will have when they enforce a law that the big adulate boss have broke many times?

  • Fakesagan: discuss Dawkins or anarchy.

  • Penn, I quote you all the time!

It's easier to quote Teller though!

  • chicken laugh 3:15

  • You've been quoted penn. One of my buddies wrote about Magic in his masters thesis and there were a couple P& T quotes in it

  • Could you have done it if she agreed to it?

  • george bush was arrested for cocaine possession in 1972. fact. i suppose he was just holding it for a mate

  • crazy laugh lololol

  • Comparing drug use to child molestation. Wow. Putting drugs into your own body harms no one but yourself. Abusing a child harms not yourself, but someone else. Not even a fair comparison.

  • Only if you have no family or friends does this hold up.

  • "Abusing a child harms not yourself, but someone else" - public decency is not a person. Its not proven or even plausible that every child that has sex is harmed, even if you use the common meaning of the word as in "believe he/she does not approve". The real meaning of harm, harming reproductive success, or reducing value to its owner has no obvious link to child abuse unless you fuck a girl so hard, her uterus is made barren or she dies or she is f ex a virgin sexslave/muslim.

  • your credibileity to me just went UP.

some eould say "ah you made a mistake. that meens your falible." but that's stupid everyone is falible. what matters is if you admit it.

  • Penn is fkin ace.

Wish we had "Bullshit in England"

oh! Sorry! We do... The Nu (Lie)bour Govt, Church of England, The Catholic Church but most of all, Islam which brings us right back to the Nu (Lie)bour Govt.

  • Wow Penn's laugh sounds like mine.

  • I love Penn's laugh. He laughs like a monkey.

  • i quote bullshit all the time!

  • You should have said she was a HIGH priced hooker. Stay classy.

  • But it feels OH SO right...

  • Penn your the coolest, man love your stuff. keep it up.

  • Penn, you're absolutely my hero.

  • I've quoted your line from P&T Bullshit many times, the one that goes "Unless you and yours are starving, shut, the fuck, up." I couldn't possibly put it better myself.

  • So have I. That's one of the best quotes from the show.

  • dope and weed are bad for you though...so why should they be legal? why should smoking even be legal anymore as well as drinking. it doesnt progress a society what so ever -_-

  • Penn is referring specifically to the US. "Progressing a society" is the purpose of a socialist government. There are several to chose from. The US government is founded on the principle of protecting the individual from the tyranny of the majority. The exception to this is when the individual is causing others harm. Smoking weed doesn't cause others harm, except perhaps through side-effects of a black market, created by... the government. Besides, prohibition is unconstitutional.

  • i guess your a smoking/drinking virgin.

  • It's not the governments place to slap your hand and tell you 'No, no. That's not good for you! Go sit in a corner now.'

  • Also just curious.. I know that Penn personally didn't delete comments from above that say comment removed by author. I would really like to know why they were deleted. Penn is a person who speaks for freedom of speech, doesn't that make him look bad when you don't represent his beliefs? why would you censor people? they might say the worst things in the world.....ok, why would Penn give 2 shits about it? who do you represent? money made from people just watching penn? or Penn?

  • i dont know for sure, but on some of my videos i had some ppl spamming, and when i clicked on 'spam' to hide it, for some reason it said 'comment removed by author' even tho i never removed it. also, i think we all know that penn isnt the real person who runs this channel. i mean, im sure he's in control of it, but i bet he has someone take care of it.

lol, wateva it is, im sure it was insignificant anyways..

  • Its sad that people need so many lawyers. People are to lawsuit happy, you should be able to say whatever you like...freedom of speech. Fuck the assholes who would go after you even if its a topic I disagree about. what the fuck

  • Lawyers wouldn't be necessary if we lived in a society where people didn't take stuff so seriously. While I can see why the P&T:BS lawyers decided what they did, but it shouldn't be like that.

  • As a musician I totally agree with the Sony lawyers. I don't want anyone quoting MY song lyrics which is why I have taken great pains to NOT record and sell thousands of CDs with the lyrics printed on little booklets inside. If I didn't take these preventative measures there's no telling how I could be grievously injured; people might LIKE my songs and then cruelly REPEAT them to their friends! How dreadful! That's why I have become a mechanic, so I can quote other people, not vice versa.

  • Penn must watch this b/c getting his impression of the eco-movement from magazines&politicians is BS, any other source is better

  • Lawyers are like hitmen...

Everyone thinks that they aren't needed until you need one!

Lawyers are great when they are doing what they were intended to do: Protecting people from legal issues that they are otherwise ignorant of.

Lawyers suck monkey balls when they are doing what they WERE NOT intended to do: Covering the asses of people that knew they were wrong but could get away with it through some bullshit loophole.

  • this video is very transparent.

why don't you make a video about how sony take young teenage kids to court and sue them for thousands and thousands of dollars for downloading a few mp3's

the point being they they use these kids to make an example out of them to try and scare all the real pirates that they cant catch. im sure your lawyers can tell you how much truth there is to that.

its not a problem i have with you, just sony.

  • And?, it's their right.

I pirate myself, I don't think I've bought any MP3's, DVDs or games for a very long time, but I realize I'm taking a risk by doing it.

Sony produces content that they sell, and you take it for free - is that really something Sony should be just accepting?.

And I've never heard of any company suing the kids who download few MP3s here and there, they always go after the heavy users.

  • yea, it is illegal. and they do have a right to defend against it, but the point is they try to make an example out of some.

there are many cases of people that downloaded a couple hundred songs, yet they had the book thrown at them.

the reaction from sony is always excessive. and no, they dont go after the big ones. the ''big ones'' are the general public, so they get 1 or 2 kids, sue the living shit out of them, and hope it scares off others.

they ruin peoples lives over it. and thats wrong

  • I agree in principle but not in practicality. The war on drugs is not working to stop drugs, but busting bad guys for drugs when you can't bust them for anything else is a hugs asset to police. I think it could use a little practical refinement, but I also agree that "When you are not able to put whatever you want into your body, then you are not living in a free country". Maybe someone smarter than me can find the middle ground.

That's all. Penn, you rock. You, and Gene Simmons.

  • why are they bad guys? If drugs were legal they wouldn't be the sole property of bad guys.

  • ur laugh O.O

    lol nice vid

yeah the song lyrics thing is bleh

  • I couldn't believe when I saw you on the Glenn Beck show. I couldn't believe it!

But then I thought, well no..I'm wrong.

Who better to confront wild-eyed stupidity and blatant jingoism than Penn?

Keep going on his show Penn whenever you're invited.

Also please try to make him cry if you can, I can't get enough of his croc tears.

  • It's great that Penn made the retraction about Bush, but there's so much misinformation and crazy myths being disseminated about everyone and everything nowadays that it doesn't seem like a huge deal in the grand scheme. Especially when it comes to Bush; there's mountains of crazy shit considered to be absolute truth out there. If Bush's lawyers were running around looking for people to sue for liable and slander, they'd die from exhaustion within a few hours.

  • my favorite penn quote is "every moment you don't have a breast in your hand life could a little bit better".

  • TheAmazingAtheist, I would love to see some back and forth from TJ and Penn. Particularly on their views on society and libertarianism. I know Penn is a hardcore libertarian but he has a very bright out look on the world where as TJ's is rather dark.

  • God damn, I love Penn's laugh.

  • Sony is the distributor... but what is there to distrubute? is there one pimple faced geek with a Sony jacket on that posts these videos on youtube? he's the distributor that Sony takes up 3 seconds of my life citing at the end of these videos?

  • Penn you've never smoked weed? Not once? Man your missing out man. I did assume you smoked at least one though. I guess I just figure most people have at least tried it, that and your a pretty liberated type of an individual.

  • I always quote Penn's comment from the ghosts episode. "Why do ghosts wear clothes? Shouldn't they be naked? Did there clothes die and come back from the dead too?"

  • I don't blame you for playing it safe on the legal front, but while Bush has never publicly admitted on record to using drugs, he's been quoted in a book saying he wouldn't answer questions about his drug use, because he didn't want kids to go out and use drugs that he's tried.

Not that it matters, anyway. The War on Drugs needs to end regardless of our Presidents' histories of drug use.

  • could you have called her a high priced hooker?

  • I know you aren't reading this but, Penn, I quote you all the time.

    Keep up the good work!

I sat through Glen Beck tonight just to see you.

You owe me tickets next time I'm in Vegas, for watching Beck that long!

    Keep making Penn Says!

    Its IMPORTANT!

  • So lawyers are good for something after all! That's fine if you can afford them!

  • its amazing how hes never done any drugs whatsoever this far into his life. The majority of hischool kids cant even say that. Thats amazing...

  • The most popular philosopher on Youtube is Stefbot, who's a libertarian, like Penn, but he is also an anarchist--a more philosophically consistent form of libertarianism.

I like to see my favorite philosopher get Penn to test his own philosophy and try to go all the way to the logical conclusions.

  • What about that saving and loan that allegedly went up hi nose?

  • George Bush, former Alcoholic , former Cannabis user and possibly although unconfirmed a Cocaine addict.

  • Penn has the greatest laugh.

  • You never respond to videos and comments. Result? There is never any dialogue which is why you your channel will remain mediocre.

  • >>Globalpack

Penn doesn't read the comments. Somebody on Crackle or Sony picks the interesting ones for him to see.

  • thank you for clarifying that

  • check out - Shanedk, he has a series called Bogosity which is like Bullshit (with less swearing and dirty jokes) and is cool

Debate - Uhhh, not sure. A) Big name youtube theists are general intellectual weaklings not worth bothering with and B) none deserve to have the experience of being personally contacted by penn jellette while many of his fans don't get that luxury

  • Wow, I was pretty sure Bush had done coke too. His drunk driving record is a fact though.

  • Did your lawyers check the facts about global warming? Too bad scientists are too nice to sue, your ass would be fried.

  • >>directed chaos

Scientist don't own the intellectual property of global warming. There is no way they could sue.

  • Comment removed

  • The Amazing Atheist reminds me of Penn the most. Both loud, awesome, atheist, assholes.

  • All comments suggested are from people who share very similar views to penn and wouldn't make a great debate.

VenomFangX is certainly qualified but it seems religion is enough ridiculed here on youtube.

  • If VenomFangX truly is qualified, his videos do not reflect that in the least.

  • >>falwk

VenomFangX lives in his biased, bigoted, close-minded world. It's insular people like him that provoke others to ridicule.

  • mudbuck

Yes indeed. But he was the only one that came to my mind when I thought a bout someone to argue with.

I would much rather see Penn debate politics but I cannot come up with a single conserative, active politician on youtube

  • I'm sure if we ask Hal Turner really nice he will come back.

  • Pardon the political compass we use here in Sweden is a bit different.

But yea, I would like to hear his views against someone who is a lot more for authority than personal liberty.

  • Libertarian isn't right wing or left wing its a separate position. Of course to a left wing person like yourself it appears right-wing but to a right wing-person it would appear left-wing.

  • I will add, however, that I am not like this walterglanz guy and just because someone idealogically disagrees with me do I think they are some sort of evil conspirator. I don't agree with libertarianism, but I agree with in many other areas and I think he is a really nice guy. We just happen to disagree politically.

  • The Amazing Atheist

  • XOmniverse

  • Hey cool! My friend Jennifer is good buds with Rich Nathanson. :) Small world.

I've actually got a quote from Penn on my quotes page on my blog-- a quote from a Penn Says video. I wrote it verbatim- glad to hear Penn's cool with all that.

  • why can't we assume that politicians lie?

  • sxephil ! :D

  • Was gonna leave this alone, but considering what Penn speaks on mostly and his recent vid about 20/20 using bullshit in the name of their special-Penn should really check out TheoreticalBullshit.

  • Bah, something is just weird about watching these. I don't understand why it has to be so official - why can't Penn just vlog without the corporate sponsorship?

  • Totally agree.

Probably because he doesnt have "time" to change to correct format, edit the clip, upload them etc.

  • you're laugh always surprises me for some reason lol

  • Oh please not TAA, he's a pompous douche.

    Thunderf00t is great though.

  • Sxephill or EvilIguanaProduction, both funny as hell

  • TheAmazingAtheist and Michael Moore if at all possible, he doesn't really make vid's like penn does but he does have a channel- mmflint.

  • I always thought lawyers were useless... hmm.

  • Check out Thunderf00t if you haven't already.

  • I would say Shane Dawson or Ryan Higa. : 3

  • crazy laugh hahaha

  • Ah, this makes me smile!

  • Wasn't it Clinton that admitted to smoking pot in England but not inhaling, and not liking it or something like that?

  • Penn totally has done drugs though. I can name several instances, just none of them were recreationally.

  • i love penn's laugh

    it makes me smile.

  • Bush never did no drugs :)

  • great penn

  • and its people like you that give drugs a bad name. There are plenty of respectable, hard working people, who use marijuana and would not like to be in fear of getting arrested. Research the facts about why its illegal. I bought into the propaganda too at first.

  • Luke: People have used such arguments for alcohol in the past, while I personally don't use I wouldn't fight to make it so people couldn't use.

As a side note making it illegal really hasn't done much of anything except make it cheaper, more accessible to youths since dealers don't card, increased usage by percentage and costs us a few billion dollars a year. The fact is that making it illegal hasn't done anything but put a lot of non violent offenders in jail =P.

  • Yet it's perfectly legal for us to go to any bar in America and get drunk? The side effect of drink too much booze is TEN TIMES worse than someone smoking too much weed. The Neuro damage that alcohol does alone is worse than some one that has smoked weed most of their lives. Not to meantion the Liver damage, related kidney and Gastro damage. And that's something that has little to no medical benefits what-so-ever. The world will not end if we legalize Marijuana. Society will not fall.

  • Society hasn't crumbled even though there are already all kinds of mind altering drugs that are entirely legal

  • fair use is right, sony is wrong. they're just covering their ass.

  • You have to be really fucking famous to post a video called "Lawyer Love" and still get 5 stars.

  • Penn I would just love to hang out with you on a Friday night just one time. I wish I had friends like you.

  • I assumed from what I recall that Bush DID do Cocaine. From what I remember is that was very "out there" in the public. Draft dodger/ coke user.

  • the technicality is that bush did not "publicly admit" drug use.

many people can attest to his drug use. it happened. he just didn't admit it.

  • Your laugh at 3:16 has become my new ringtone thanks <3

  • JOKER LAUGH

  • So refreshing to hear a 'personality' actually appreciating a lawyer. just unusual...

  • Obama is better than Bush, it is a shame Bush didn't do some drugs. He could have explored himself a little more and maybe got a little valuable perspective. He's an asshole that attacked Iraq on a foundation of lies, costing the world over a million lives, and he has never apologized. I bet he did do drugs and just won't admit to it because he is fundamentally fake. Obama wrote his books, told the truth in them, and ended up being a man to respect. Bush won't be writing his own propaganda.

  • I agree with you completely. But I just wanted to add that Bush is known for being a drunk. More then once he got arrested for DUI's and would go for several years drinking and partying every night.

  • dodnt bush do cocain?
