  • @MrPokemonfan231 Trout has a stronger, fishier taste, as compared to walleye or perch - but needless to say, it does still taste very good!

  • @thundermistlures does trout taste similar to salmon? i would imagine it does being related to it.

  • @ihatebobsaget1989 Yes, trout does taste similar & the texture is similar as well. The trout may have a slightly "muddy" taste depending where it's from. Thanks!

Had really good luck catching two nice brown trout, three coho salmon and my buddy landed a twenty pound king salmon . It was a good day, and very fun. That was a really nice trout by the way.

  • @quadripper74 That sure is a great day on the water! Thanks for taking time to write to us and share this....Lake Ontario is a fantastic fishery, especially at this time of year.

Until next time good luck and good fishing!

  • @AwesomeNites Glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for taking time to write in to us! Until next time good luck and good fishing.

  • @TheASCKiller1991 Thanks for the compliment and thank you for tuning in to our videos. We are happy to have you on our site and it's great that you like to go fishing at a young age.....keep it up and good luck on the water!

  • @TheASCKiller1991 Yes, we're Canadian. We're located out of Niagara Falls, Ontario (border town to the USA). Good fishing and thanks for watching (eh).

  • i need advise for bate for trout i have tried using magots and i caught a few raibow trout so i was happy with that but i would like to know if u would advise using corn for lake and pond trout fishing. Mm

  • @mark4claire Corn does work for trout although it's not the best bait. Maggots work better than corn.

A good bait is salmon eggs which can be purchased (come in a small jar). A single egg on an egg hook should do the trick. Also, red worms and small minnows work well. Artificial flies are also good. If you don't have a fly rod,

you can use a float to help cast the fly and slowly retrieve. Experiment by adjusting the float at different distances from the fly. Try small spinners too. Thanks!

  • I´d like to fish with you;)

Greetz from Germany and "Petri Hei"

    l

  • @vollFreaky Hello Petri - it's very nice to hear from you in Germany....thanks for tuning in to our videos and for taking time to write. Until next time, good luck and good fishing

  • snorlax uses fishing pole and lure. its VERY effective

  • @sableantelope77 Thanks for tuning in.

  • @thundermistlures no prob:)

  • Starving for a little fishing action on a sunday in January zero degrees outside. the first thing I click on is this video - I agree with previous poster, what a bunch of bonehead moves from a fishing boat. Netting a big laker from the TAIL, dropping it, and trebles got that atlantic bleeding all over the place. Ain't no expert moves there now, huh!!! Oh, btw, where can I buy your amateur-hour lures in Vermont?

  • @fishhuntadventure You're so right about the fish handling. Should have been more careful. We actually don't have any stores that carry our products in Vermont. You may order from Bass Pro shops or from our on-line store. Thanks for writing and wish you great fishing!

  • @thundermistlures You're going to eat the salmon? I heard Lake Ontario is very dirty.

  • @megamunchit2008 You may eat a certain portion of salmon per month (Ontario guide lines). The lake is slowly cleaning up. Thanks & good fishing!

  • You guys are my teachers to fishing! Thanks for all the tips and great catches! I heard that Salmon are very good eatin! Fish on!

  • @FishinwitKevkev Salmon are good eating especially in the spring. Thanks & good fishing!

  • nice video, i dont have much experience with fishing yet, and could you tell me what lure your useing? and what ones you think are the best for trout. i live in az so the water is usally alittle warmer. thanks

    MTS

  • @NYmosVids Using Viper Spoons - best sizes are SP1,SP2,SP3.Thanks!

  • Netting/fish handling skills do not inspire confidence in opinion.

Funny to see fish dredged up from bottom, dropped on the floor, bleeding like crazy, and put in the "LIVE well"! Lol. WTF.

Stingers and Badgers are good spoons IMO. Why not try barbless hooks and releasing a few fish? If you're man enough not to need to kill everything and good enough to catch plenty without barbs. You catch just as many barbless w a little skill playing the fish. Try it. *Fully* barbless. Challenge.

  • @giantbluemarlin Thanks for writing in and for sharing your comments with us.

All the best in 2011 and we hope you have many great days on the water.

  • lmao trout fishing. fish taste so good man

Thanks for writing in and good luck on the water

  • Nice catch! Thanks for showing your fishing techniques in the video as well, much appricated. Thanks again and keep those lines tight!

  • @copedog Glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for writing in...we have more videos coming, so stay tuned.

Until next time, good luck and good fishing!

  • what an awsome catch, well done men and thanks for posting

  • @taipan342 Thanks & good fishing to you!

  • Thats in lake ontario? Ive heard its not good to eat the fish from lake ontario.. Is that true?

  • @portugal73737 There are restrictions on eating fish from Lake Ontario. Generally, smaller younger fish are safe and can be eaten at least once a week. Thanks!

  • @thundermistlures Awesome, thanks! What do you think the average catch would be in lake ontario? I havent gone there yet and Im looking for some feed back on it

  • @portugal73737 Actually, you catch a mixed bag of sizes in Lake Ontario. You can go out one day and catch some nice sized salmon & in that same day, catch a few small ones.

Spring and fall are great times to fish Lake Ontario, as you do not need to go out very far to get into fish. In fact, where the Niagara River meets lake Ont., - right at the mouth - is a fantastic place to fish in early spring (end of April, early May)

    Until next time, good fishing!

  • @thundermistlures Great advice, thanks for that - This April ill head out there and see what I can get, thanks for the speedy responces!

  • @portugal73737 Hope you have good luck! Thanks for writing.

  • great fish, trout are so nice to catch in the fall

  • @tng150 Glad you enjoyed the video and trout fishing is fantastic right now & will continue for all of November & into December as well - let's hope the weather man cooperates!

  • @jimmyluu101 We keep the occasional small trout or salmon as they are younger fish and are quite safe to eat. Thanks for writing!

  • @thundermistlures i guess but still ewww hahah but let me know when u go next, & if u dont mind havin guess coming witcha, im about 15 mins from port credit

  • "nice net job" that was the worst net job i have ever seen, lol. it happens, but if it was a 30 lb spring it would have been gone

  • @Babygodzillia Thanks for writing in and sharing - you're right about the 30 lb spring, and it sure would have been nice if it was :)

Until next time, good lcuk on the water.

  • Why is the first fish bleeding?

  • @MrKaddan It looks like the hook must have broken a blood vessel. Thanks for asking and good fishing!

  • @MrKaddan cause its a real fish

  • @Vulcan328 We actually do not pick the fish up by the gill, but rather, just under the gill cover as this will not harm the fish. When you do this, it does help with the hook removal.

Thanks for writing in and good luck on the water.

  • @Supercucu123 not really, I used to go fishing when I was a kid and there are two great parts of it: 1)when you stab the fish in the head and watch it die and 2)when you eat the fucking fish! they taste damn good!

  • @Del249 How could u kill a fish man. your disgusting yours like a psychppath. Go kill your self you fucking psycho

  • @Supercucu123 heh, first you say that fishing is for faggots and then you say that killing fish is bad. people who go fishing are not the faggots here - you are.

  • @Del249 No u. LOL U MAD? U BAD.

  • @Supercucu123 ah, so many internet memes, be more nerdy please

  • @Del249 I am going to stop trolling for one second and say: you don't get it. Idiot.

  • @Supercucu123 I thought you despised fishing. Now you say you are going to stop trolling for one second to tell me some crap. Talk about serious hypocrisy.

  • @Del249 You still don't get it.

  • lake ont is so polluted tho

  • @eatmyshorts2007 Lake Ontario has cleaned up a lot and now it's possible to eat some younger fish from there. It's on the right track. Good fishing!

  • where is this located

  • @invaderkike This was taken in Lake Ontario's western basin close to the mouth of the Niagara River. Thanks!

  • O_O

  • what pound test do you guys use for this? i liv in oregon and im going to try out trout trolling with flashers and spinners or spoons need to know what pound test i was gonna use 6-8lb

  • @lockedupsideways You may want to go a bit heavier - at least 14lb. Your line is under a lot of tension while trolling & you need the strength to set the hook. Good luck!

  • Wow you guys are good i wanna catch a lake trout that big i live in idaho theres a couple good places i fish in the boise river with shiny spinners and i catch alot the biggest rainbow i caught was 10 pounds it was a fun fight good job u guys

  • @Volc0mStoneSkaterr A 10 lb. rainbow is a huge fish! Spinners work great for trout. Thanks & good fishing!

  • awsome laker i wish i would catch such big fids but i catch blue gill

  • @4EREED Blue Gills are also great to catch...and tasty too!

Thanks for writing in and until next time, good luck and good fishing.

  • @4EREED The main thing is that you are fishing which is always great!

  • don't meen to boast on my mums behalf but she caught a 13lbs brown trout and it took her about 2 mins to bring it in. Best to use live bait and drop it deep. BTW my netting was much better than that guy. Good fish tho

  • @230793ew Sounds like your mom had a great day on the water - thanks for sharing this with us....oh - and by the way - we like to joke with Paul about his net job as well and we remind him all the time! Actually, this is probably the first time he ever netted like that (must have been the camera)

Thanks for writing in and we hope you & your mom have many more great days on the water!

  • @thundermistlures god i think i'd have killed him (the net man) if i went on to lose that fish.

  • i love how u keep them...I hate when people catch a big ass bass or trout or catfish and they oput it back..eat it!!!...lol
