One nasty review said about Ms. Taylor in Cleopatra: Overbosomed, overweight, under talented & overpaid. I never saw the movie - bur how could they say she was overweight? Her waist looks like it's 20 inches! I guess the reason the two split up was mostly due to Burton's alcoholism & womanizing...a shame since they seemed so perfect for each other.
My mother is also a woman with perfect features but she's chinese and has no interest in becoming a star.Otherwise, she would surely becomes the world's most beautiful woman. There are countless hidden beauties in this world that have not been discovered
@avonmarkproducts: Incidentally my deluded Avon Cosmetics person, the "close-up icon" you use of Elizabeth Taylor was shot using a) Rosco Cyan hotlight gells; whereto, you will note the effected "COLOR SHIFT that renders her skin-tone into the "hallow-effect" blue green space; further tweaked by either a Rosco Magenta add and/or a post-process film-tint wash, as was often done, post, re the fabricated PR's "violet" marketing angle ... tag: LOL; fool; wake-up from your dross addled inculcation
The POINT IS EVEN IN-PERSON her eyes had a Violet Look to it. Even IF THEY WEREN'T VIOLET. When the Light Hit her eyes (not motion picture) people who met her and spoke to her FACE to FACE often Referred to them as Violet. NO RANTING HERE-Just a comment. Her Eyes were the most beautiful people had ever seen, for the Simple Fact that they looked Greenish or VIOLET in natural and other light -FACE to FACE. It really doesn't matter. RIP Elizabeth Taylor you were Awesome & Beautiful!
@avonmarkproducts: Dear Insanity Case, First off, I meet her face-to-face on two separate occasions -- once under mid-day outdoors' ambient light & direct light, 2nd time in a combo-lit [read: attune tand sensitive to degrees Kalvin aka light wave's color temp & color space & color theory & pigmentation | reflective surfaces knowledgebase] domain: as Elizabeth herself asserted on numerous occasions, her eyes rated as unmidigated CELEDON; she favored violet, turquoise & green eyeshadows; no lie
Elizabeth Taylor -- even ACKNOWLEDGED herself ... in her own Jewelry Book -- that (as confirmed in my own face-to-face meeting her) her EYES are NEITHER and never were ... violet nor any hue or tone thereof -- her eyes were celadon aka in the GREEN hue and tone pigment reflective color space. So why Paul Newman obviates that point ... rates stupid, evasive and permits the continuation of what a press agent had cooked up long ago -- a bogus claim; compounded, too, by filters, airbrushing & P.S.!
Where people go wrong is believing what they see on cleverly crafted film: stills or motion: light color gells are used, which can and will, by design, impact the color balance captured, making in many instances eg, when it comes to film and video footage (err ... moving digital imagery) pale eyes appear, again by intent, COLOR-SHIFTED to eg, green, blue or violet: fortunately PRE-DIGITAL such moving film, unless vignetted, can be identified by an overall frame shift; stills, were AIRBRUSHED!
@CarCriticAssessor : Forget the Big Screen or Airbrushing as you mention. THOSE WHO SAW ELIZABETH TAYLOR Face to Face, Often Referred to her Eyes Being sort of Dark Violet. Lighting had Nothing to do with it. ONLY PEOPLE who sat in front of her as a Child, Teenager, Adult and Elderly Woman can Comment on Elizabeth Taylors Eyes.
@avonmarkproducts Some friends of mine met her several times and say her eyes were VIOLET and never saw such feature in others people..Of course not purple like the flower but very unusual!
@avonmarkproducts: Elizabeth Taylor's eyes were ... as already much accounted for hereto ... celadon ... that inconvenient myth-busting reality is attested to by a) Elizabeth herself; read eg, her recent jewelry book; Scavullo's book "Beautiful Women"; b) numerous critics, whom were much aware of the PR person's hype-sticking-mythos; and, c) myself -- met her face-to-face in daylight & at dusk outdoors, sans makeup! Your rant FAILS. LOL
@CarCriticAssessor: The POINT IS EVEN IN-PERSON her eyes had a Violet Look to it at times, even IF THEY WEREN'T VIOLET. When the Light Hit her eyes people who knew her (NOT MET HER ONCE) and spoke to her FACE to FACE often; Referred to them as Violet. NO RANTING HERE-Just a comment. Her Eyes were the most beautiful people had ever seen, for the Simple Fact that they looked Greenish or VIOLET in natural and other light -FACE to FACE. It's Not that Serious. BE HAPPY.
Not to be snarky, as I thought a lot of Elizabeth Taylor, as an actress, wonderful person, beautiful and a great humanitarian, but... I always heard of some actresses having some ribs removed to make their waists smaller. I can't help but think Miss Taylor was talked into doing that by the studios when she was younger... maybe not even an adult.. Perhaps because she was petite and they wanted to keep her from looking "round."
Note her waist @ 0:20. Her waist looks so very small. You never know.
You can really see the violet in her eyes! Omg! I didn't believe it at first when people say she has purple eyes. But now I do! Marilyn Monroe is almost always a little girls first classic Hollywood actress to know about. But mine was Elizabeth Taylor. RIP

Very, very beautiful... Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton is my favorite GREAT couple:) I am a faithful fan of Elizabeth from many, many years... for me is and always will be the most beautiful of the most beautiful... Greetings from Poland!!!
@CarCriticAssessor She said:"They are blue but have a few red flecks, so they appear purple"..I spoke even to her make up artist and has confirmed the strange colour(not fully violet, but very close). Maybe you write bullshits...
