Great video. I'm about to begin working on a live looping cover of this song right now. Gonna have a hard time creating the side-chain on that synth live XD
This is incredible. Was it hard to figure out? I figure out how to play songs in strange tunings like Tallest Man On Earth, Nick Drake, Arcade Fire, Sun Kil Moon, but I never thought about trying to figure out anything electronic. I always figured there were too many variables. How did you do this so spot on!
Is a microkorg enough to get by, or do you need Logic 9 for some of the effects? Either way, fantastic job, the best (and only?) cover of this on youtube.
Great cover. Such a brilliant but sad sad song :(

@anthonfire Sennheiser E835. Hell yes, better than an SM58 but cheaper.

I need a synthesizer, is this like a good quality one?
TheAwesomeBomb 11 months ago
did all those drum beats come from using the microkorg as a drum machine from logic?
SketchTron 1 year ago
@SketchTron Just controlling, none of the noise is Korg.
sheps145 11 months ago
Awesome dude. You have the tracks all laid out on logic, you're not triggering them live, your just modulating some of them right?
refo09 1 year ago
@refo09 The Korg's changing the pitch of that yummy synth. Everything else is already tracked.

DUDE WAS ALL THIS DONE WITH JUST A MICROKORG?!?!?!?!?!
redsox1024 1 year ago
@redsox1024 Noonono, that's just being used as a MIDI controller. All the noise is from Logic.

@cougarman8 The microKorg is my favourite digital thing I've ever bought.
So versatile and such good value for money.
In this vid I'm only using it as a MIDI controller, all the sounds are from Logic.
You'd think this one was hard to work out, but it's so minimal.
There's only about five things going on and then the vocals. xx
