  • Just so you know, ALL hard drive connectors are IDE. IDE = Information Data Exchange. Even SCSI has IDE in it. The correct term is PARALLEL ATA. Nice board though.

  • I use sata. cheaper than ide and better speeds

  • I use IDE cos my PCs are old. I don't need speed. My main point is the incorrect naming of certain hard drive technologys that people use.

  • Actually IDE = Integrated Drive Electronics

  • My main point is that all drives are IDE but you are right about what it stands for. You'l probably find the board may be EIDE or UDMA. Its a tidy board but please can people use the correct terminology.

    I used to work in a computer shop and people used to say UBS which was hilarious
