Oh wow, I didn't know Ofra participated in a version of this song! So awesome hearing you talk in Engilsh (something not as common as one would wish), and even talking about the song "Middle East"! Kinda funny hearing her almost rap, too. lol
The video is so 90's, haha. I wish they featured Ofra more! We even heard her singing more in the "Making Of" part. We all know the talent they had at their disposal!!
I've personally never seen this before, only the clip of John Lennon singing it (as seen at the end of this video). I'd always figured that after Desert Wind or Kirya, Ofra started to fade from the international scene. Maybe I'm mistaken.
@rpvee I haven't worked it all out, but I think that she just went back to Israel and did some work there. If you go to Daniel's site - which is all Hebrew - you can get an idea of the timelines there and piece a chronology together. I think.
I love her!!!

@rpvee A version? This was THE global event. Spot the famous faces.
I think that the showbiz world were well aware of the Ofra Haza phenomenon, then.
She had a worldwide public fame in the 1980's.
Then people forget.
I have a gorgeous picture of her on my Windows wallpaper at work.
Somebody says "Who's that", I tell them, they say "Who?".
That has got to change! That's why fans post Ofra Haza videos on YouTube. ..and for Love of her, of course. ~:-)

@KNJGSY I do wish they'd make an English version of that site.

@rpvee It's one fella's labour of love. He has done a fantastic job with what he has been able to do. Not everybody is a linguistic genius like Ofra.
