Canon 7d and 580exII wireless flash function

Even though you put the wireless settings to the middle (external flash only) why doesn't it disables the built in flash?

hi we have the same set up... one question is there any way that the pop-up flash from the 7D doesn't fire? from my research it should pop but just for the sake of asking you coz you might know something that i dont know. thanks :)

@CrazyLini Well i love the macbook pro 13'' which is why thats the one i chose but, for my graphic design class we use the 20+'' iMacs and they are fantastic for design. So.. if money wasnt an issue i would get a big monitor to use at home.
