Really nice metal feel, just a tip though, maybe start using some harder brushes for a more defined shading, also maybe when blending skin keep it a bit more smooth (unless you're going for that rugged look), lastly, have a quick look at anatomy before the speed art or use your own arm to have a better idea of where the arm would end as in real life the arm would be about another head higher. Apart from those things it's a really great piece, all the above was said to help you not hate :)
@ZAKK33N thanks alot, i know its not hate i really appreciate constructive crticism ill take it on board and hopefully turn over some nicer pieces in future!
Wow, your final addition to the colours really made this a lot better. My only real criticism would be the composition. Having the gladiator to the right third of the screen was much a much more dynamic position, and I don't think that going for near symmetrical balance worked too well. But the painting itself looked really good. Nice values and colour.
Hey, nice piece! you need to work on your anatomy though, try lifting your arm to 90 degrees and notice how your shoulder doesnt move, then raise it above your head and notice how the shoulder follows. in your image, his shoulder remains in rest-position. Keep it up!
@JohanLithvall thanks for the helpful tip, i really struggle with positioning when drawing but i guess its something ill learn as i practice, thanks for the constructive crit, helps a tonne!
techinque is good, i love the colors, but the scale and actual shape of the gladiator kinda ruins it for me :/ work on the preliminary sketch more and you'll be amazing
it looks deformed :L knowing you have a drawing pad try and use harder brushes since its abit blury with soft brushes
