Listen up everyone! This is an amazing game. But because the majority of you didn't buy it or pirated it instead, the sales didn't meet the expecations and the studio Monte Cristo was SHUT DOWN. It's all YOUR FAULT. But at least you purchased MW3 and BF3 both and are happy with them, right? Fuck you!

This means we won't be seeing another game like this except for new SimCity which is going to be DUMBED DOWN to death becasue it's an EA game.

The same thing is probably going to happen to the studio behind Anno 2070 and much like Monte Cristo, they did nothing wrong so why?

Well, this isn't 20th century any more. Now that games have more complex gameplay mechanics and gorgeously detailed 3d graphics, it takes many more man hours to develop a game (remember when tycoon was made by a single man?). That means they require more sales, BUT they're not getting.

The gaming industry is ill because most people are paying for the rehashes of the same crappy first person shooter every year, but studios that come with innovative stuff like this or Anno 2070 can't even freaking survive?

You are all contributing to the death of PC gaming. I've seen many other PC developing titles studios close or being in serious financial trouble lately.

So next time you're going to spend your money on something, consider where they're really needed.

It looks great but I don't think it reached the simcity 4 greatness yet I really hope EA makes a new realistic SC and gives us the same things it gave us in SC4 but then in 3d. It just must be a very moddable game so that people can download more buildings and it must be as challenging as SC4.

Most don't, especially new ones, If it's old enough you may have one with "gaming capability" similar to the XPS, but remember: no matter how much RAM or HD space it has, if it ain't got graphics acceleration... It ain't gonna cut it. The game's instruction book says your laptop has to have (which means equivalent or higher):

This game is far more amazing than simcity 4. No grid system and a very enhanced gameplay mechanism that has kept me playing for a while. Only problem is that I cant seem to find myself expanding any farther without going bankrupt. I have never encountered this problem in SC4 and from all the comments im reading, it looks like im the only one here that is struggling rofl. Any1 got any hints or pointers on starting/maintaining a city or is there a forum i can go to? fantastic game all around!

All and all its a very fun game. Sure there are minor issues with different areas of the game, but just the fact that you can see your city from satellite view and zoom in real time to street view is pretty amazing. The actual buildings look incredible and the strategy is on par with Sim City. I've had it for a week and I really enjoy playing it. Highly recommend if you like this type of game.

I have spent some time in my city and working up to bigger populations to unlock new buildings and zones. Once you get to 500,000 you can build high density offices which really make the city look pretty cool. If you don't cheat and work from the ground up the city will actually resemble a real city. With pockets of small undeveloped areas that you forgot about along the way, to the areas you put a lot of time into. Then as you go, you build up everything as space on the map runs out.

This game is close to what Sim City 5 would have been. The only thing I dont like is that all zones are blocks and the roads don't automatically latch onto their edges. So if you have tight fits its hard to place how you want. The city service buildings are kind of lacking as well, such as a ferris wheel that is pretty plain. They got creative with a paintball park, but I just want to see more like a cool looking movie theater. All in all though this game has a really fun play mechanic to it...

Im sure you didn't, because EA was only the publisher of each and every simcity game, (not societies) Ea didn't work with MAXIS until 1997, where they made a deal for $107 Million. EA then became the parent of MAXIS, but had nothing to do with the Simcity games, only the publishing. So if you worked at EA, guess what bitch, You didn't make Simcity Classic, or 2000.
