And for roughly 100 years all Christians referred to themselves as Jews but eventually separated from the Jewish people as we know them today. After a four day stand off the Qurayza unconditionally surrendered to Muhammad.800 men and boys were then beheaded in front of their wives, mothers, sisters and daughters. Who were then taken into slavery and their wealth looted
Why this happened we dont know as no one from the Qurayza survived to tell their side of the story.

@ManInControI No the story clearly says that muslims had built a defence and had prevented their enemies from entering. the only open side was from Qurayza's side. qurayza let the enemies into the city from the other enterance and thus they were punished. not that I appove of killing of everyone after all not all are equally guilty. but it is a strategic move, Wars were not pretty in the past nor today...

@Sazad93 last point I wanted to add, I think a large number of Muslims nowadays are like that without knowing anything about their religion after all Quran is written in complicated Arabic that isn't used nowadays, while readable, average person wouldn't understand most of it. but by nature most Muslims think its all good and fluffy, and another portion wouldn't publicly admit not being convinced by it for fear of being outcasts or even killed (improbable nowadays) .

Some are quite graphic, with commands to chop off heads and fingers and kill infidels wherever they may be hiding. @ManInControI , you can't just take these verses on a literal basis. They represent a certain context the same way verses in the bibles do. Could I just take the verses in the Old testament for what they are and judge all Christians and the entire Christian faith based on that, of course not.

@mujahid1911 No, I'm Catholic and just for a quick overview. Jesus and the apostles were all Jews. And for roughly 100 years all Christians referred to themselves as Jews but eventually separated from the Jewish people as we know them today. The first Catholic Pope was Peter the Apostle and there has been an unbroken line of succession Pope to Pope since. It wasn't until Martin Luther really that other Christian faiths appeared. There were earlier heretical sects but not much more
