Steffi and Gaby also a good friendship, they won double Wimbledon 1988, Gaby also is the only player who won more than 10 time over Steffi ,they head to head is 29-11,but when Steffi played on her top form, a player like Gaby and Arantxa sometimes look like her pigeon, but most of them matched is always a great matched..:-)

graf had a very annoying habit off pulling wins out when she looked to be beaten so many players almost beat steffi its ludicrous.There will never be another graf ....in my opinion the greatest player to pick up a raquet male or female

I so so wanted Gaby to win that year. My very first memory of Wimbledon. She was so close. Such a pity she didnt close it off with the chances she had. She would have been the first woman also from her country to win Wimbledon and it would have been the crowning of her career. You can see her dad there too who was so nervous & tense during the last set.
