@NorthTexasAthletics yea man defranco will kick you out if he even thinks your on roids, just like his dad did at his gym. And Cushing didnt take steroids that was blown out of proportion, people need to do there research first
@Chaddyboxer no he actually tested positive for PED's, a catagory so wide it includes cough syrup. ESPN however reported that he took roids and never offered a retraction statement although there statement was false
The guy is fast as hell but I want a player with the complete package. Fast 40 yard times dont always mean success because if it did, this guy would have left the canadian football team years ago and would be in the NFL
i dont think stop watches are accurate enough, so much bs goes around about 40 times, a laser sensor should be recommended but thats too much money and prob would have to be indoors....
damn i play soccer and came across some football dudes that weight like 250 a de and safety i was talking big shit like im bouta burn yall big heavy weight eatin ass niggas but damn them boys moved i tied the first race but da secon 1 dey both burned me sheesh i felt like vegeta when he fought goku and lost lmaooo respect to yall doe
im a defensive end tryin to convert to middle LB in hs.. for anybody who knows, would doin 3 sets of 10 40 yd sprints and jogging back then sprinting again immediately help me achieve my goal? im not taking credit for making that up but it came to me watching this video
@roxtar55 do you know what you are talking about? FAT time has to account for a person's reaction time to the gun. There's no gun to start a 40 yard dash. I love when guys read one article in a magazine somewhere and then try to come off as an expert. FAIL
Funny how the times at the combine are usually .2 seconds slower... combine results have little to do with real NFL performance... history speaks that...
Keith Williams (born December 12, 1983, in Mount Vernon, New York) is a professional Canadian football cornerback who is currently a free agent. He was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Alouettes in 2007. He played college football for the Florida A&M Rattlers.
Williams has also played for the Edmonton Eskimos and Montreal Alouettes.
So the CFL doesn't want him, he's a CB, what about coverage skills and turning his hips? more important than 40. Good Luck to him.
people who argue the validity of sprint times based on a hand time they took from watching the vid on youtube need to give their head a shake and stop being complete idiots
I hand time the first run at consistent 4.22, which pretty much matches the coach, but the second run I get between 4.37 and 4.40. I'm not saying my hand timing of a video image from a bad angle is the best circumstances to measure this, but the second run does seem to be slower than the first, any way you slice it. Try it out for yourselves.
@A550RGY when down loading time specific videos into a you tube file certain time frames are compressed into 1 file to make them fit. this gives the appearance that the time is longer than it is. However this can work both ways, for example Joe recently timed mike richardson running an 3.97 20 yd shuttle but when hand timed off the computer it appears faster more like a 3.7. so my point is that joe was the only one who was there and they sure as hell don't lie about their times over there
@hempfield21 But if frames are "compressed", it could only make the video's action quicker, not slower. So an error would only be in their favor. To appear slower, the program would have to be somehow "expanding" frames.
In any case, I admit nothing is definitively proven. If there was a proven time irregularity I wouldn't assume lying anyway, just simple human error.
I do train a lot, but if in the time I was born I had been put to sit on a chair, feed there, doing my needs and all without even contracting a muscle till my 20s, I'd still do it faster than this guy; it's genetics, still, good job Joe.
@IamFat187 guys fast no doubt, hell fasted ive seen myself is 4.51 but all the combines ive ever been to have more then one stop watch and they average them. and my question was pretty self explanatory.
@Chanse301 For sure, but like I said before, Pro Scouts only care what comes up on their stopwatches. They feel like they are more reliable than someone else timing. Only reason I say that is because I went to a Combine the NFL held in April, Invite only, and that is what a couple scouts were telling me. Could be different at different levels, but just saying.
Incredible Stuff! That guys a beast and man all i can do is bow down and salute you for training this guy to get to that level. You need a training manual for guys like me that want to get on your level!
