Yes, You can send the seeds thru most juicers, and it will juice. The Omega VRT shown in this video is a vertical auger, the 8006 is a horizontal auger.
Hi John I use vitamix blender to juice the poms. I also add the red grapes to dilute the bitterness and strain it. It works out great. I have been drinking this way for years and i drink the pom juice everyday when they are in season. Thanks for the video.
Do you know what happens to the enzymes when raw fruits and veggies are frozen? I want to freeze my green juices but I worry it will kill the enzymes. Thx!
For highest level of enzymes, antioxidants, phytochemicals and other nutrients, its BEST to drink your juices as FRESHLY made as possible. if you NEED to freeze, its better than throwing it away, but it can lessen certain nutrients and based on my research it does negatively impact the enzymes.
Yes, I do mention, that other juicers can also juice pom seeds. That being said centrifugal ejection machines tend to oxidize the juice and not yield as much and will not get as much nutrients out of the seed as the Omega VRT.
@thatguy2012 I just found that out myself and put it under the water and it was soooo easy to take out the seeds! It's great to see how to juice them.
It truly sucks that these juicers cost so much. I'm a disabled Marine Corps veteran and I cannot even afford this stuff. It takes lots of money to be healthy. I went to Target and even they were super expensive. Very discouraging.
An easy way to de-seed the poms is to do it in water, the pith and skin float while the seeds sink. I'll have to try this juice if I can find some pomegranates.
Can you send pomegranate seeds through an auger style juicer (ex. Omega 8006)?

Perfect timing. I just picked up a pom from the store. I just wish there weren't so expensive here.
