One of the few Civics on here that doesn't sound like butt. I like all kinds of cars and exhausts, but holdfast to my core belief on car sounds (intake/exhaust/etc), and that is: "Any motorized vehicle (car, truck, boat, motorcycle, etc), should never make more noise than it's performance can back up." i.e. If you Civic/ import is loud as shit and runs 15s, you're an idiot, and an embarassment to the REAL auto enthusiasts.

flowmasters cost a lot more then cheap ebay fart cans, ive been there done that back when i drove my civic, theres really not much worth even putting into one, i drive a 91 MR2 now and it came with a flowmaster, it sounds alot better then a civic for sure

@bigjr872 My '02 EX has a Flowmaster Super 40, 2.5" catback, 4-2-1 Megan header and a K&N CAI. It sounds raw, but these mufflers rattle shit in your interior. Those "fartcans" are just knockoff look-alikes of a higher-pitched style of muffler that is designed for four cylinders and faster air flow. I'm thinking about getting a new setup myself because I'm tired of my Flowmaster rattling my interior.

I have a '72 Chevelle SS454, a '70 El Camino with a 350, and a modified '92 Geo Storm and they all have 40 series Flowmaster exhausts on them. I can honestly say if you pick the right type Flowmasters can make any car or trick sound good.

have an exhaust shop run straight pipe back to the muffler (from the cat, not the header).. that stock pipe is choking the sound, bad.

To answer your last question, i have not gotten pulled over for the muffler. I drive past a police station everyday on my way home.

Inside with the windows up you can hear it a bit but its really quiet. I love the summer cuz i can ride with the windows down and really hear it.

I turn heads all the time cuz it sounds alot better than a fart can on the back and people go wtf is that?

Lol. Thanks. All I did was saw-zaw the old muffler off and weld on the flowmaster. Its a stock d16y8 engine. Im looking into supercharging it.
