well, i think they have now sublimely told us in various media that the earth has shifted an iota off its axis, but most of us guessed that with the first big tsunami of the 21st century. There's not much to be done about it... we have to evolve and adapt, as usual. World gov's are terrified of how humans would react to various situations, so, like kids, we are kept in the dark until we are old enough to understand and react responsibly. Take care.

The Inuit people who are located in upper Canada which is by the north pole have said that they think the earths axis has changed as well as this man and they made a movie about this very subject. The Inuits have gotten more sun than usually and cannot travel by the stars anymore because they also changed. Haven't you people noticed how odd the moon looks it is a lot of degrees off. You can't cite local weather to dispute a claim of global warming. Otherwise the term would be local warming. None the less, real or not, I agree there is no doubt a scheme to use global warming for instituting dubious policies... Even if real, I am more concerned with all the toxic carcinogens in the atmosphere, soil and water as well as the poisons in food, which the global warming debate seems to only serve to deflect attention.

Your whole thought process is junk. You make a cliam and the only evidence you provide is your own voice. The web cam photos contain no data/time stamps. So a claim that the photos were taken September to March his higher validity because it matches the known facts.
As an amateur astronomer/hobbyist my question is, If the earth's axis has changed, then why are all the star constellations coming up right where they always have been all my life?
Maybe the reason only a few people ever go to the south pole is that, (1) it is an incredibly harsh and unforgiving ecosystem, (2) maintaining any type of encampment is incredibly expensive and dangerous, (3) and not very much happens there so only handful of researchers would ever make the trek. Am I the only who thinks of this shit?

@fntime If the sun were out of normal position, or the earth were out of normal position, every person on the planet would immediately notice the effects any where on earth. Every planet and every star in the sky would be out of position if the earth was dropping into a lower or higher orbit around the sun. Also if the axis of the earth shifted everything in the night sky would be noticeably out of position. Every amateur with a telescope and a star chart would know it. Can't cover that up.

You left out a squashed orbit. ie the average distance to the Sun remains the same, but api/peri helion change by a small percentage. We have had some serious earthquakes, even in a geological time sense, in the last couple of decades. Are you that sure we haven't modified orbit a tad?

In fairness, there has been discussion of the large earthquakes, along with astronomical coincidence, shifting the earth in it's orbit. From a naive standpoint, this could be seen as the "sun being in the wrong place". No need to get too snarky about things.

I happen to live in a place with complete winter darkness from time to time (i live in a valley in which two mountain tops blocks the sun for a couple hours every day during the days of winter solstice.Still the reflection of the sun can make you think it is on the sky, but it is not. you cant actually see the sun in this recording.
If there was ANY deviation of the Earth's axis, there would be no way to conceal this from the amature astronomy community. Most likely, what you have, here, is a camera which is boosting the gain of available light, when the sun ALMOST rises (which it does). As far as the patch goes? ... Interesting, but not at all related to the Earth's orientation (which is now as normal as it ever has been).
@craig79792000 I am sure 120 miles might account for about a 5 minute deviation in length of exposure to the sun, at best, If this data is correct ,and the earth is not tilting far enough on its' axis. It could certainly account the lack of summer in central Alberta and now we are breaking records every week!!!!!!! And chaotic weather where it was relatively stable.
@wolfman9562 I did a little more research after running my mouth without knowing much about a topic. Something I do a bit more then I should. There is an additional wobble factor I was not aware of. I do keep fairly detailed stats on sun position, it is a long story why, but the change (middle usa anyway) has been minor for 20 + years. It all started when my wife noticed the sun coming through our front door peephole, I just started marking it on the wall (day, year, month)

If you continue 'till next year, you will see that it's the same next year. The only people who think it has changed are those who are relying on faulty memory from past years.

Scotland, mid winter - I'm friggin wearing a T-shirt at work, yep a wee bit chilly when walking outside with no jersey on or warm jacket but certainly isn't giving me the chilled fingers I usually have in winter - no glove or scarf have left their drawers this year not once, a wee bit of frost on the car today - threatening snow but it's not a winter like I know winter in Scotland.
@KelticWoman1 same with Canada. Usually a Winnipeg winter is bloody freezing at -40 to -60 Celsius. This year we've been hovering around 0 degrees with a very short dip (just a few short days) into -30.
@RexMundiUsurper The strangest thing is they keep giving us forecasts like we would normally get saying snow is going to fall etc but it hasn't except on the tops of the hills! Almost like we are expected to not notice how mild it is. Usually in winter I have to feed the birds because for the most part the ground is solid whether with ice or snow/both - the soil is constantly wet and very little freezing going on. All very strange and being ignored by the media!!

If the Earth's axis had shifted, or if the Sun itself had moved then people who observed the Summer Solstice at the Kokino Observatory would have noticed it instantly when the Sun did not rise from the notch cutout in the mountain like it always does for the Summer Solstice.
I think a number of people are confusing a MAGNETIC pole shift with an actual flip of the polar axis. Magnetic pole shifts have occurred and will occur again. You can't just sling a planet out of it's orbit and survive.

Well in relation to its point of origin when we first mapped its distance/location from Earth, it could in fact be "out of position". We know that various factors can change the way a planet orbits, and that the sun orbits around the milky way. So while saying "its out of position" is not correct wording, most certainly the sun is in a different position then it was years ago, and might very well be negative to life on earth.

Earth’s rotational axis has not changed. Astronomers use telescopes every night and measure the positions of stars down to tenths of an arc second (or finer) resolution every night.
fool - it is only 24 hour daylight and 24 hour night in between the equinoxes. If you're seeing day and night, then it must have been taken about March or September. Then the daylight and nighttime are the same everywhere.

Maybe the reason only a few people ever go to the south pole is that, (1) it is an incredibly harsh and unforgiving ecosystem, (2) maintaining any type of encampment is incredibly expensive and dangerous, (3) and not very much happens there so only handful of researchers would ever make the trek. @fntime If the sun were out of normal position, or the earth were out of normal position, every person on the planet would immediately notice the effects any where on earth. Every planet and every star in the sky would be out of position if the earth was dropping into a lower or higher orbit around the sun. Also if the axis of the earth shifted everything in the night sky would be noticeably out of position. Every amateur with a telescope and a star chart would know it. Can't cover that up.

I happen to live in a place with complete winter darkness from time to time (i live in a valley in which two mountain tops blocks the sun for a couple hours every day during the days of winter solstice.Still the reflection of the sun can make you think it is on the sky, but it is not. you cant actually see the sun in this recording.

If there was ANY deviation of the Earth's axis, there would be no way to conceal this from the amature astronomy community. Most likely, what you have, here, is a camera which is boosting the gain of available light, when the sun ALMOST rises (which it does). As far as the patch goes? ... Interesting, but not at all related to the Earth's orientation (which is now as normal as it ever has been).

Almost like we are expected to not notice how mild it is. Usually in winter I have to feed the birds because for the most part the ground is solid whether with ice or snow/both - the soil is constantly wet and very little freezing going on. All very strange and being ignored by the media!!

I think a number of people are confusing a MAGNETIC pole shift with an actual flip of the polar axis. Magnetic pole shifts have occurred and will occur again. You can't just sling a planet out of it's orbit and survive.

Well in relation to its point of origin when we first mapped its distance/location from Earth, it could in fact be "out of position". We know that various factors can change the way a planet orbits, and that the sun orbits around the milky way. So while saying "its out of position" is not correct wording, most certainly the sun is in a different position then it was years ago, and might very well be negative to life on earth.

You don't understand that THOUSANDS of astronomers would know about it overnight if the sky was so far out of place that people could notice it with the naked eye? @menow20000 You are claiming I have no proof of what I'm saying and you have proof that what I'm saying is not true. I stated MY,get it, MY belief and yes the sun looks to be in a different position than it normally would set. Are you setting out to debunk everyone who might diagree with what you claim, and yes,you claim "there is nothing wrong with the position of the sun". I seem to think there is. Were you standing in exactly the same location? I'm supposing not, and that you were totally GUESSING, yet saying it as if you have some reason to be sure. Youboob is replete with that sort of thing. It was a bogus statement like all the rest of the inane crapola claiming things like that the sun is out of place in the sky or the Moon is "abnormally rotating" or that "Nibiru" is near. It's an hysteria, and you chimed in with your little bit of added nonsense. You all want to think that you have discovered something 'special' which the rest of the world is not "evolved" enough to notice. Problem is, it's just plain BS.
