Everytime I watch live performances of the Strokes/Julian solo performances on Youtube, I always have the same thought. What an awesome voice Julian has. It has got to be one of the best right now, if not, the best. Whether he's performing drunk, or goes on stage sober (like he does now), it's always fucking awesome. I love bands that have talent and originality. Actually, screw my rant. I fucking love the Strokes, and they're the best band. That is all.

the strokes are by far the best , arctic monkeys are prob second , alex turner doesnt really have that timeless appeal julian has he looks pretty average and his voice is very average, but franz ferdinand are very very far behind , they pretty soulless and very unoriginal.

The Strokes is under big label, but still have full control of how their music should sound like, and how they would like to work (thats why they could take a break last year). The big labels are used just to pay and publish their songs i think

@p4cm4n182 There is a difference between indie (the Style) and Independent (Self produced or minor label produced). The strokes do have a producer but a good producer helps them guide their sound and since the first albums was monumental the producer let them do pretty much whatever they wanted.
