My worst nightmare economically would be after 2013 to have to view the economy completely back to back (east v west) and asymmetrically as the inefficiencies would be great and the scaling impressively complex. I would far prefer a more collaborative asynchronous approach where by we all pit in and make the world a better place with more ease. To see the faults you have to look at the Nash Equilibrium in a complex way. The scalability required in the world market is too fragmented at present mainly due to the US trying to hog the global market. 1. The phones work, the streets are paved, all public systems work, the water is treated, the electricity is on 99.9% of the time, & all gov functions are normal.

2. There is plenty of food, & only an idiot would go hungry in the USA. Grocery stores throw out food into dumpsters that most people in the 3rd world would gladly eat.
