granted i do agree with you that frontside rodeo's are tricks - what else would you call a back roll (terrible name, i know) with a frontside spin..i know everyone calls them underflips but then what if you spin a 3 after the flip itself? is that an underflip 720?

If you had to look him up then you need to take a hard look at this sports history. Short version: Terry Kidwell took skate tricks to a snow ditch, Kelly / Brushie took over, then Terje / Franck came over with Ingemar and dominated. They, with Line and Lynn invented pretty much every non-skate trick there is - Haakonflip, Rodeos etc.. The front rodeo was the double cork of it's day, then later so was the back rodeo. Underflips are different - off the heels - front rodeos are (way) off the toes.
