  • they are so cute jashdakjsdkjashdjk

  • "We'll take the lot.". "The lot" means "everything".

  • Guys they are so small back then. Also their voices are so high back then. It is so sad it's all over now.

  • @MusicLoveMovies looks like someone needs the potter pill

  • "we'll take", what? what does he want to take?

  • Ron has sassy expressions.

  • cute neto tlga!!! :D Nakaka-miss :((

  • i feel like im watching a old old movie. because of the quality. but its amazing

  • "This is Scabbers, by the way. Pathetic, isn't he?"

    You have no idea......

  • @ZeldaFreak1987 Pathetic because its really that scum peter Pettigrew >:(

  • @Oaktail According to the books, this moment is 20 years ago. The books are set in the 1990s. Book 1 goes on in 1991-1992, book 2 in 1992-1993 and so on.

  • @annahpjb it was ten years ago.

  • this day 20 years ago!!!!

  • aww they're so cute :)

  • this is true. the only reason they changed the title to sorcerer's stone was because most Americans didn't know what it meant!

  • Im mean do you really have the the Scar!!!

  • This is one of my favourite scenes from the whole franchise. Philosopher's Stone is my favourite.

  • This isnt deleted

  • @bestbruinsfanever who said it was deleted?

  • Sunshine.. daisies.. butter mellow... turn this stupid fat rat yellow!

  • @DeexAngel I didn't work cuz in the Prisinor of Azkaban Peter Pettigrew was actually Scabbers. Therfore not technically a rat. So it could- or could not be- a real spell.

    :)

  • classic and just aww

  • @LifeLiveLoveCheer of course I can, but in my country we use to say "haha" before we make a joke, that's why I didn't get it! I'm sorry, I really am :) don't be angry, I send you a big hug! :) xoxo

  • Comment removed

  • Ron is eatin the hell outta that candy! xD

  • @LifeLiveLoveCheer but that is after you've finished the first year at Hogwarts. Remember that before going to that school, young wizards/witches still can't control their magic very well, so I don't think it's important :)

  • Notice that Harry's scar is always in a new spot or not there at all in each new movie?

  • No clue what a legend this would become. Amazing!

  • i love harry's scar!! lol

  • Err... Sorcerers Stone. It's the philosophers stone here in England and UK!

  • @RonWeasley78

It's Philosopher? Isn't the Philosopher's Stone related to alchemy?

  • @QuesoGr7 I dunno mabye? im gonna look it up.

  • Hermione: :D I'm Hermione Granger. :I And, you are?

    Ron: XBD Your Future Husband!

    Hermione: -_-

  • Okay, so we all know the title is really "Philosopher's" and that they changed the name in America, but when they say the name of the stone in the film, did they re-film it for America and have them say "sorcerer's" or did they still call it the "philosopher's stone" in the film in the US?

  • in the United States we have a different meaning for the word Philosopher. The publishing company changed the name to avoid confusion. There is a difference between American English and British English.

  • Rons reaction xD

  • Comment removed

  • Philosopher is the right, and in my opinion, the only way to say the title (:

  • awwwwwwww they are all so cute!

  • 'Sorcerer' was probably used in America as more of a marketing thing. When I think 'Sorcerer', I think of a wizard.

  • Man...This Takes me WAY Back....but its kinda tragic to see how they were then and what's gonna happen to them later....

  • I love how Ron's all into people's business and asks about the scar. Cute. Ok so Hermione's all pointing her wand at Harry and she goes "You're Harry Potter! Wicked." and then Ron's all stuffing himself with candy they're like so little in that scene now they're all kissing and Hermione goes making out with Harry half naked and yeah they're grown up the series's over!! I miss them too much! That's why I'm doing fanfictions..

  • im harry potter

0 0 O hary potter? is true then?

    what?

    the scar?

    oh yeah

    wicked!

  • J. K. Rowling has stated herself that, if she had been more stubborn, the title would not have changed.

Anyway, the scene is great. :) It's the beginning of all. :)

  • ''Wicked'' Gotta love Ron:D

  • I just can't stop laughing at Ron :L

  • lmfaooo I laughed at ron's expression when harry introduced himself.

  • Philosopher's Stone, is much more better than the Sorcerer's stone....

  • @BRFirefist Apparently we're too cool to have it as Philosphers. -.- I think it should just be the way it was to begin with.

Anywho, I'm gonna have a Harry Potter marathon sinceI haven't seen this movie in forever! (:

  • They're so cute!!

  • Comment removed

  • i love these scene.

  • im ron

  • RONS FACE WHEN HE HEARS HARRY'S NAME

  • @nickymanda americans understand it too, asshole.

  • They never seemed this small. Of course I did grow up with them. Crazyness.

  • This is Scabbers. Pathetic isn't he? He is since he betrayed HARRY'S PARENTS

  • to think that rat was wormtail =(

  • "Whatever house I'm in I hope she's not in it"- Ron Weasley in philosopher's stone.

  • oh God it was so long ago I think I'm gonna cry xD

  • AH, i REAALLY expected Ron to say: you're Harry freakin' Potter!!

    guess not.. :(

  • Wicked.

  • "I'm Ron, by the way. Ron Weasley"

"I'm Harry, Harry Potter. I'm going to make babies with your sister in a few years."

  • @BRFirefist

not north america.. in the UNITED STATES. in canada we understand the word philosopher too . :)

  • @nickymanda touché, even in Mexico it was released as "the Philosopher´s Stone" when I listened to the second bud and sub (USA) it was strange to me that it was called "the Sorcerer´s Stone"

  • @nickymanda It was only published as Sorcerer because the publisher of the books in america thought the children would not be able to understand not because they did not understand. It is probably because Philosopher is not commonly used.

  • @nickymanda Sorry Canadians and Brits, but in America, the word "Philosopher" implies one who ponders philosophy. The word has no magical connotations, unlike the word "Sorcerer." I'd like to see either of your regions score as well as America's on testing.

  • That sandwich looks like a tiny chicken!

  • But yeah, it's amazing how bad at acting these kids were in the beginning.. they improved a whole lot.

  • It's the Philosopher's Stone, dumbass. Sorcerer's stone is a pathetic name change in north america because kids don't understand the word Philosopher.

  • @BRFirefist can u chill in america it was published as the sorcerer's

  • @237cupcake My point stands.

  • @237cupcake He said that. He knows... x)

  • @BRFirefist Ok, Philosopher is not as common in the United States as it is in other English speaking countries. Sorcerer is more commonly known in the United States. It does not make it wrong. Don't judge so harshly. If you have a problem take it to Rowling, she was the one who suggested the name change for the United States.

  • @BRFirefist Sorry condescending British person, but in America, the word "Philosopher" implies one who ponders philosophy, which is the study of general and fundamental problems. The word has no magical connotations, unlike the word "Sorcerer" which means magician. I'd like to see either of your regions score as well as America's on testing, so don't say we aren't smart enough to understand.

  • @jonesybee33 I'm sure in some cases it's true that a British person couldn't score as high as some Americans but actually, and I mean this factually & not in a rude way at all, the diploma that you get at the end of your high school graduation at 18 is the equivalent of the British GCSE's which we take at 16. I don't think it's fair to state that no one from Britain could beat an American in your tests. And "philosopher" also means one who ponders philosophy in Britain, too.

  • @BRFirefist I'm American and I'd have to agree with you. American kids are real dumbasses.... I can't stand them.

  • @NoobTwinz5 HEY!

  • @RosieB10 YO!

  • @NoobTwinz5 I'm American..... i wish i were British

  • @RosieB10 Why do you wish you were british??;D

  • @soapfan97 cuz....i dont wanna be called stupid and Brittish people have well...a lot of talent.

  • @RosieB10 American people arnt stupid are they?:L Im not going to say British people don't have talent because they do! but so do american people, by the way you don't wanna be british, everyone thinks as us as drinking tea and biscuits when that isnt true, we don't! I don't even like tea! And plus the disadvantages of being in britain.... WEATHER!:0 x

  • @soapfan97 hee hee ur funny ....in a good way

  • @RosieB10 Am i? Thunder and lightning atm!:L Not good!:) Going to Florida soon!! So excited!

  • @soapfan97 yep

  • @RosieB10 I'm not usually one to quickly defend America but are you implying the United States doesn't have a lot of talent?

Since this is Harry Potter, I will focus on literature. Ezra Pound, TS Eliot, Ernest Hemingway, Flannery O'Connor, William Faulkner, Sylvia Plath, Ralph Ellison. All born in the US.

There's also jazz/blues/soul, which was created by African Americans.

I'm not really sure what you mean, though, as you evidently lack talent with words.

  • @BRFirefist Sorcerer was just probably some marketing gimmick.

  • @crazydudetz ok every1 stop arguing about the damn title of the movie just enjoy the scene and make comments about other things

  • @237cupcake Not trying to argue, or continue this quarrel, but in North America, Philosopher has a different meaning than it does for the UK. In NA a philosopher is considered someone who is "calm and rational under certain circumstances" or a "student of or specialist in philosophy" while in the UK it is considered as a person who practices dark magic, such as a sorcerer in NA.

  • @237cupcake whats wring with the title?
