The right to a car having is not easy if the colour of the car is bad. Some drive at the sea and need a red car. Some drive on water and need a white car. Some trough the mountain and need a red car too. So, what they need is a good car with the right colours on it. The quality is sometimes not on best qual. chrom.
Always the pitchman, didn't give us a whole lot there in case his agent gets a commercial deal. Gawd the guy must be sitting on gobs of cash, yet he's still working it. He's kind of overexposed with everything he's doing. Guess at his age thats a good thing.
1970 Corvette Stingray white with a darker red interior. THATS my dream car, and you know whats funny about that? My neighbor from 3 doors across the street has the exact same car that I want.
My favourite car is the car I drive, a 1975 Valiant Ranger, which is an Australian Chrysler, bench seats, 5 metres long and drives like a tank, but I think it has beaut character, and the most delightful flowing bodywork. She is also named Happy.
this whole "Buy American" Thing your talking about has nothing to do with quality, i dont know if you know this or not but reports confirm ford is equal in quality to all company's on the market in that class. Sure some German cars may be better but they also cost 200 000 dollars more. The common German cars are not any better than American cars.
" buy american " is just something from gm lobbyists, the fact is that these " american " cars are usually made from parts from mexico etc...., and besides any of that companys like toyota and other foreign manufacturers have plants and dealerships in the US that employ americans. now I am no expert, but in all fairness gm, ford, etc... have simply lost to the competition and had no real plan as to how to weather a severe recession, and that is theyre own failure
My favorite Car (Which i'll never be able to afford unless i win some stupid amount of money in a Power Ball) Is the Jaguar XJR-15. Sweet damn car. Bodystyle Designed by Peter Stevens (McClaren F-1)The car is absolutely sick! Beautiful design, want to know more, Go Wiki!
The Corvettes that Chevrolet has been making in the last few years (especially the newest model from this year) are absolutely GORGEOUS! And the Pontiac Trans Ams from the 90's-early 2000s were beautiful, too - and from what my dad told me, ran like a dream.
Phaeton is badass car, comes with a giant 12 pot engine, but I'd say my ABSOLUTE favourite car has got to be the Cadillac CTS-V. What a beast. Though my next purchase is going to be a Ford Mondeo ST TDCi - 0-60mph in 8ish seconds and 56mpg? Yes please. Also, can chip it to 203bhp/448 ft-lbs! :-P
2005 Audi A8. Not the A8 L or the A8 with the 6.0L W12 engine.
The only year where you could get this car in the standard wheelbase and with the front split grille instead of the fishmouth grille.
The four rings is more dignified a brand than a VW logo paradoxically adorning a high end luxury car.
And, understated style, which the A8 and the Phaeton have in abundance, is classier than the garish, overdone look of cars like any Maybach, the current S class Mercedes-Benz, and the 7 Series BMW.
I test drove an Aston Martin V8 Vantage a month or so ago. That was a rush. It would take me a decade to afford a car like that, but just to sit in the driver's seat and wander the lot was a real privilege. I was terrified taking it on the street.
My clapped out 1994 Ford Fiesta. It cost next to nothing, took a detour through a hedge a few years back, but its still rocking! I think its got a few months left in it now, but ultimately its been reliable, cheap and efficient. Even after going through the aforementioned hedge!!
Doge Chargers are COOL :) (Like smoke shows, see my channel :)
At the same time, I like lots of others, 55-57 Chevys, Cudas, 69 Camero, E-Type Jags, 39 Willys, 34 Ford, 59 Chevy -you gotta luv Cats Eye tail lights! Bugatti Veron, Ferrari........ the list goes on forever!
Hey Bill, great topic video. My favorite car is a 1985 Dodge Daytona. It was my first and best car, and it was a hot red, two door coup. Nice car!! ^_~
ah man all those awful american cars that cant corner or handle for shit. Youre in the right era man, but start looking at triumphs, astons and most of all etype jaguars. Beautiful :)
nice attitude man. Im sorry but american cars really are awful, unsafe gas gusslers. Im from england but i can still appreciate the 'imported' german and italian cars. Fiat, VW and audi all make great cars. So stop being so narrow minded. I dislike american cars for a legitimate reason. Ever wonder why absolutely no american cars are sold worldwide but euro and jap ones are?
Bill would you like to buy a 1991 Mercury Marquis with Mustang exhaust and a rollbar? You can park it anywhere and when you're driving down the street, people crossing a block or two away run for the sidewalk when they hear it coming.
Like I said...I judge cars solely by their appearence, and the DeLorean certainly appeals to me in that regard. I don't really care how it drives - trains are better, anyway. :)
William Shatner rules.....grew up watching the original Star Trek in sindication......one of my personal heroes.. Absolutely nothing will ever beat the originals, all of the crew, but especially Jim Kirk, never give up regardless of the circumstance was the enduring message thru the series and movies.....
People who have cars are like God's to me. It is hard to pick up women when it says on the side of your limo, Metro. Why are all these people in my limo, get out of my limo.
I always liked the VW Bug, but I think I'll always buy a pick up with at least a 6 foot bed. For the simple reason, I love to camp and sleep under the stars. With the pick up you just fill a air mattress throw it and a sleeping bag in the bed of the truck and yopu're set....tents are for storage and rainy nights. Stars are the best canopy.

in 1994 i bought a 1981 v6 chevy malibu. it was indestructible. started in the coldest weather, built like a tank. i got home about 200 am one morning and the snow plow had left a 2 ft tall mound of wet snow blocking my driveway. I just lined it up, put it in low, and rammed right through it. I wasn't gonna get out and shovel at 2 am, and since it was a major road and a snow plow zone, it was a tow away zone in winter, so I couldnt leave the car on the street. I loved that car.
awesome, VW makes some good stuff.. i've been a Camaro driver since 1981.. but have had 3 VW's, a classic Beetle, and 2 GTI's.. all were very dependable and fun to drive! =P
F1 McClaren, the new 2010 Camaro, and the Enzo Ferrari, though the liklihood I'll ever own any of those is about as probable as me becoming America's next top model.....as I'm a dude, and Canadian lol
I fell in love with the Mustang when I was 15 years old and an older friend took me for a ride in his Mustang Mach 1. I bought my 3rd Mustang recently. All of them V8s. I loved every one of them. I've driven many other makes and models and none of them held up as well or performed better than the Mustangs I've had.
That new movie will kill the franchise even more than enterprise did, and if u listen carfully in that trailer the kid says james Cyberius kirk !! its like they dont even care anymore!
Enterprise wasn't so bad if you skipped the god awful theme tune. Yeah it wasn't next gen but then again, what is? But come on dude, keep the faith, it might actually be good. I hear you, but I'm trying to stay positive about it. Maybe Pine has a weird speech imped where T's come out as C's. Doubt it but, still its Trek. Also its an even numbered one.
Come on dude, have faith. Be positive. I'm a die hard trekker. And it wasn't until I downloaded all of Enterprise (with the theme song cut so it was episodes back to back) that I kinda liked it. Some nice ideas- some not as thought through as well as they could have been but it could have been a lot worse.
Hey, Shatner, didn't you say once that if people kept using cars, the human race wouldn't last another 5 years... over five years ago? Just curious, because I remember hearing someone say that you had said that. If the rumor's true, it seems you have embraced the love of the (hopefully energy-efficient) automobile.
The right to a car having is not easy if the colour of the car is bad. Some drive at the sea and need a red car. Some drive on water and need a white car. Some trough the mountain and need a red car too. So, what they need is a good car with the right colours on it. The quality is sometimes not on best qual. chrom.

It almost seems like US producers push these "Buy American" slogans in order to compensate for lacks in fabrication quality.
But personally I prefer Volvo. Very safe, very comfortable.

Corvette....like the one young Kirk stole and joyrided in the movie coming out next month....awesome scene...
"what is your name?" ...then, with attitude the punkish...long haired adolescent responds, "James Tiberius Kirk"...hahah
he says it as it to say to the cop, FUCK YOU. ...haha...classic authority defying Kirk...love him!

That new movie will kill the franchise even more than enterprise did, and if u listen carfully in that trailer the kid says james Cyberius kirk !! its like they dont even care anymore!
mcflurey667 2 years ago
It was "Tiberius" or how ever it's spelled. Obviously there is a "T" in it, just like the original series.

Bacula killed the franchise!!!

No way man! Enterprise COULD have been SO MUCH better!! New ST looks AWESOME!
Enterprise could have been so good it's a shame to see where they took the show, and the casting was ALL WRONG!!!

Keep on rockin' Shatner!
