  • It was the largest fire that I have ever seen and it had all kinds of chemicals that made this thing a monster! Thanks for watching and posting a comment.

  • Wow... this is the first video I have seen of this. I didn't realize it was so big!

  • there was a welding shop, irrigation store, sports store, Japanese restaurant, pesticide distribution centre (which is causing the big spill into the lake and creek) and two other businesses that went up

  • @campen5 It was pretty much a horrible cocktail of materials to have catch fire and I really feel for the business owners that lost so much!

  • Lol I live there

  • Kelowna

  • im doing the clean up for this its insane !!!

  • @urdadddy1 It seriously must be one of the worst clean up scenarios with all the different materials involved etc. Hope you are wearing a respirator or something to protect you from the nasty fumes!

  • I've been to that irrigation store to buy stuff for an orchard and it is/was pack with lots of pvc pipes and plastic tubing so when all this catches fire it's hard to stop it.

  • @lucancherby Agreed, with a mixture of plastics like those it is hard to stop a fire from spreading so quickly.

  • Thanks for posting this so quickly. Good footage from that perspective.

  • @conifergreen Thank you! I was initially tempted to go across the Hwy to get that much closer but decided safety and staying out of the way was a much better idea.

  • @Century21Realtor

Me and my friends snuck into the exclusion zone, we were literary 100 foot from the fire haha. It was fun.

  • @WESTJET101 I thought of doing the same thing until I saw a large chunk of the building explode into the air! Decided to stay across the street where it was a little safer.

  • @tryscotty Last night my throat itched and burned like crazy...I have to go back to the office again this corning so hopefully the air has cleared somewhat.

  • Nice video! I was wondering why some of my friends were posting a bunch of pictures of a place burning. I hope everything is okay.

  • @Yomoska Thanks! It seems like no one was injured and that is all that matters!

  • Thanks for the video! We were wondering what exactly was happening.

  • @WateryFate Thank you! I did not want to get too close as the explosions were massive.

  • @Century21Realtor Well we certainly appreciate it! When a crisis strikes, traditional media can be so slow to release information. Citizen journalism ftw :)

  • @WateryFate Sign of the times for sure! Have a great long weekend!

  • @WateryFate : Citizen Journalism FTW. LOL So True :)

  • Crazy!

  • @Davio88 My thoughts exactly!

  • It's the Stewart Centre @ 1855 Kirschner. Tile & Stone Flooring store is destroyed..

  • @SaraChantell Thank you for the update on the business that was affected. It was absolutely crazy to say the least!

  • Thanks for the post Jason! Great job on the video!

  • @cuttingedg Thanks, I just hope they are able to save the surrounding buildings and no one was hurt!

  • Good job an gettin' this out early

  • @Matteus88 Thanks I thought I would get this out right away so people that read about it could actually see how intense it was!
