Not sure if someone mentioned it but the actual main reason there is no Strawhat romance is simply because Oda doesn't want his younger viewers to be turned away, the closest thing they have to romance is Luffy x Hancock and that is basically comic relief. Also there really is no chance of LuffyxHancock because he does not see her the way she see's him. To Luffy she is a friend, nothing more, and is too naive (for now at least) to realize she loves him. However, with Nami the situation is a bit more complex... ugh I hate the 500 charater limit (continued)...

@92ospe11 What i was trying to say is Oda basically puts in an enemy in each of the arcs for each crew member, sometimes when it is unnecessary Persona being an example, i didn't enjoy 3-4 chapter of my least favorite straw-hat running around it was a waste of a month, before it is brought up Krillin is my least favorite z fighter aswell. Back to the subject at hand OP always has an enemy for everybody to vs in an arc where in Dbz there was the single big baddie who gohan goku or vegeta handled.

@danthruni actually my opinion is that One Piece (oda) doesn't focus in romance BUT if Luffy will ever have a wife (maybe last chapter or something like that) the only that i can imagine as his wife is Nami...yeah but she is for sure his best best friend :)

@stasygeorga I personally hope love will never be a big topic in one piece......maybe many years later after luffy became king of pirates oda could show his wife and children or something...but it shouldn't be a big topic in one piece.....but you're right, it would be no other than nami :)

@danthruni yeah i meant exactly that, like end of one piece, you know luffy a little bit older and stuff...but yeah one piece hasn't a lot -actually none- romance unlike other soujo manga :)

@stasygeorga that's reason why I love one piece, I've had enough of that love shit, I'm from europe and the western films and series have all this kind of topic, well most of them......one piece is an awesome manga and anime, it represents freedom and dreams, and things you wanna achieve in life, love CAN be a part of it, but it should never be so important as it could destroy your life -.- greetees :)

@danthruni i am from Europe too and i can understand what you are saying...just OP doesn't need romance, because it shows friendship probably in the best way it could have been shown, so yeah. But still, l like to write and make videos about those two :S thank you for your comments and sharing your thoughts with me :)

yeah you're right, it's friendship which is symbolized in the best possible way...everyone has got a special connection to another "straw-hat", let's support oda by watching the anime and buying the manga, he deserves it :) I can't imagine a life withput one piece...peace :)

@danthruni woman actually :P hahaha, yeah neither do i....i grew up with one piece somehow :S strange really :P but i can't get enough...:D simple amazing series! Oda is an amazing manga artist (he inspired many people to write and draw for one piece, which is amazing) every thing he does it has a purpose(even arlong's building) so yeah "it is time for me to shut it or i'll continue talking about OP non stop :S"

@origamishishou for sure :S and this is also one of the few moments when Luffy was saved from his nakama(Robin and Zoro has also saved him, but Nami is not a strong pirate-with the physically way- so it means a lot)
