a good puzzle should be solved by intuition not by chance and random clicking. But intuition won't help here as they're not really ratonal. Certain adventures games suffered the same fate, before Lucas Art changed everything for good.

u have to time it just right, once the guy is on the catapult, make the left acid cloud explode by clicking it 3 times, then ASAP click the guy near the lever, and make him activate the catapult, the ball will burst into flames and blast out the mine

Break the first cloud (Above the Antennae near the lake) by clicking it thrice.. It throws acid rain, then immediately fire the cannon ball. it burns up the banner.
