Yes, opt for unprinted paper. I was able to purchase some (already shredded) from a local newspaper very inexpensively. However I have found it easier to use disposable under pads, IMO its easier to clean up. If you have a small breed, you can buy them from Walgreens one bag of large pads should get you through the delivery.

clamp aka hemostats since you cannot see them, use your fingers to stop bleeding or tie dental floss around it in a pinch!
The catheter is a delee suction catheter, I learned about this from a breeder friend of mine.
