i never hated thailand as much as a lot of people do. in my opinion, Fiji, Samoa, and Redemption Island were faaaaaarrr worse. Cook Islands was quite a bit worse too...
@nhagelin1026 Yeah, Fiji, and Samoa are pretty damn bad. Cook Islands semi had its moments. Redemption Island COULD still be saved depending on the ending. However, any season where Russell and his cronies get owned at every TC they attend is far from one I can call bad at the end of the day. I waited 3 seasons for that, lmao.
@webapp31 Well, I'll certainly give him Fiji, Samoa, and Redemption Island. Redemption Island was only good episodes 1, 3, 4, 6, and the merge. The post-merge after the merge itself was pretty bleh.
@webapp3 and your opinion should matter to me why? You don't have to agree with me, but people have different tastes. It's not like I think Thailand is amazing or anything, but seriously, you can't possibly think Fiji and Samoa are actually good seasons?
@webapp31 I would've have been able to tolerate Russell if the producers hadn't been shoving him down our throats the whole season, then all of Heroes vs. Villains afterwards. I understand they had to, because Samoa was so badly cast that Russell was the only hope they had, but I just got so tired of Survivor being "The Russell Show". I think he's overrated as a player personally.
@webapp31 Er...I think making himself a goat twice and Redemption Island begs to differ. I mean, they saw Russell twice and he was first boot from his tribe. They saw Rob play THREE times, and he still won.
@webapp31 Strategically, I took his gameplay in Samoa with a grain of salt because he was surrounded by a bunch of idiots. In HvV, I think he played a good strategic game, but he blew it away completely because the guy had one of the worst social games in history. Survivor is a social game even more than it is a strategic game. Russell never understood that, and that's why he never won. I'll never be a fan of him.
They did a variation of this challenge in All-Stars Episode 5 with an added rule that prevented all the disqualifications, but that challenge had it's problems, too, with that whole Rich vs. Sue thing.
So I don't see the chances of this challenge coming back being that great. That's a shame.

I think the big thing about Ben is that he was the first one thrown out when it wasn't in the rules because Jeff clearly states in this that you will be kicked out of the challenge so I think that is why they consider Ben the first one kicked out
"Cmon guys! I'm sounding like a broken record!" Lol, this will probably go down as one of the more infamous challenges ever. I mean infamous in a good way, though.
@survivorfreak44720 I think Jeff has just been trying to forget Thailand. He says it's his least favourite season, and that Fiji's the worst so usually why they're forgotten.
@shadowranger123 It mostly has to do with EVERYONE on the cast (minus Gary) being recruited, the haves vs have nots twist, some would argue a bad twist just before the merge, a seemingly anti-climatic final 3, and an incredibly predictable pre-boot with Moto winning EVERY challenge except for one REWARD challenge.
really?is actually one of my favourite seasons ever
they had very colourful players like yau man, earl, dreamz, alex and michelle, there was a shocking car deal that had america talking, there was the epic blindsight and fall of the four horsemen, the first season where mutiple idols came into play and totally unpredictable of who would go in top 6,it was a turkey shoot of whos gonna ally up with who to knock out who with 6 people in same alliance that are left
@SpanishFly120 i accualy liked cast in fiji dont know why ppl dont like that cast, OK there was many thugs but still i liked fiji cast more then africa cast which i find incredibly boring...
@TestY0urMight I know for me personally, my reason for hating it is that EVERYBODY except for Gary was recruited and had never even heard of Survivor. And to me, that's not not right at all.
@survivorfreak44720 well in the rukes was if you attack someone wehen your out of the zone then your out when ben kicked him it was against the rules ya know ahh idk. or maybe jeff was forgot or was trying to miss ben off or something
@survivorfreak44720 Also because Jeff said at the start of the challenge "you will be kicked out if engage in contact outside the attack zone." So it was part of the challenge. In Samoa, Ben was actually kicked out when part of the challenge was not being kicked out.
@survivorfreak44720 Ken and Robb were both out according to the rules Jeff stated at the outset. Ben was removed from the Samoa challenge because of his conduct (intentionally trying to break Russell's legs).
This challenge has a rule that you have to be in the attack zone before attacking a member of the rival tribe, or else you will be disqualified. Ben was disqualified because of unruly behavior (tripping members of Galu) at the challenge you're talking about. If you are a true Survivor fan, you must know directly inflicting unnecessary physical harm is a no-no. Too bad Ben was still kept around. He could have been pulled from the game without any consolation prize.
@iankevinsevilla Yeah, conspiring to share the money, bribing, etc, or anything to that effect is grounds for immediate expulsion. The rumour is he got DQed from being allowed to receive Jury votes at the F3 as a result.

@survivorfreak44720 I think that was more of a challenge rule break, i.e no one is allowed ot attack outside the attack zone. while Ben I think was taken out because he became too aggresive tof ro the challenge.
Stupid people think Russell is the best player because he demolished Galu. TBH any survivor could have done that. There is always someone in the tribe that doesn't work well and you can use that person with you.
Honestly Russell is not the best player. A good player is J.T and Stephen .
LOL I remember this one back in the day. These challenges with direct physical confrontations are ALWAYS going to cause problems. Having men throwing women around is in NO way sporting or fair. It should not be allowed.
It was a decent season. The last one I watched from start to finish.
Robb actually did some growing up later on.
Shi-Ann was cute, but showed she wasn't as clever as she thought.
@AllRequired Was it because he didn't do it in the attack zone or was it because if he had waited 7 years later, it would've been ANOTHER certain troll he'd be choking? ;)
"You know who" is probably Russell Hantz from Samoa who talked smack about how he was the greatest player ever and would win...then cried when he got his ass kicked by Natalie at the Final TC, set up a "Russell got screwed" site, and hasn't stopped bitching since.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
But you have to admit that Russell was one of the best player ever.
It was the only time, in any survivor, that the tribe with less member beat the other with more member(from original tribe)when there is no more tribe.
Nah, Russell's still a bad and overrated player who's one-dimensional. Natalie broke apart Galu, and Timbira imploded thanks to JT a season earlier. And he didn't even need to use 2000 Hidden Immunity Idols.
In Guatamala, Danni's tribe was outnumbered 6-2, and the Nakum tribe broke apart. In Tocantins, Timbira outnumbered JT's tribe 6-3 after Joe's medvac and won. In Marquesas, Vecepia was outnumbered 7-2 and still won. In Vanuatu, Chris was outnumbered 6-1 and went on to win. None needed HIIs either. So no, Foa Foa wasn't the first tribe accomplish that.
And in Tocantins, Stephen had the Jalapao Idol and he and JT never even needed to use it to get out of the whole and the Guatemala Idol couldn't be used the same way either, so they had a much harder time than Russell.
agreed, what russhole did wasnt that amazing at all
he turned the table around with mutiple idols(which i think is just, cheap),blackmail, threats, taunts, bullying, harrasement and just disgusting amount of lying.while danni from guatemala, for the most part, played a very clean game and still overcame 6 nakum members to win
russhole just have this illusion that hes the best that ever existed and everyone should step aside and kiss his ass and give him the million
i guess you don't remember what has to be the biggest comeback in survivor history (not the best player by any means though) chris, at first he looked like a shoe-in to be first eliminated, but formed the "fat five". was outnumbered by the women 6-1, and came back to win it.
@shadowranger123 He does a nice job with strategy and he's great at finding hidden immunity idols but he has one of, if not the worst social games ever. He will never win a final tribal council because he pisses off too many people.
@shadowranger123 No it was not the only time a tribe with less members beat a tribe with more players.
In survivor Season 13 : Cook Islands, a group of 4 (sundra, yul, ozzy and becka) on one tribe ending up beating a tribe of 9, merging when it was 5 to 4, them being outnumbered by 1, and still voting out the tribe of 5 one by one, and being the final 4.
@shadowranger123 are you an idiot, there's been other tribes, in outback kucha had a 7-5 lead at one point, marquesas, vecipia's tribe was down 7-2 when the jury started, in in vanuatu chris was the last man standing against the women's tribe of 6 women, he won. not to mention the amazing comeback that was cook islands. actually pay attention you idiot
Talk about a whinning bitch, Robb takes the cake. Says Ted was not that big, big enough to put his butt in the water no problem. Yet he has about a foot of hieght on Clay and needs to resort to rules violation and a cheep shot to the throat. Loved the level of maturity shown by him as he flips off ?Jeff?

jpad319 1 year ago
@jpad319 Robb. At least he's not a misogynist hick, just a few teaspoons short of a cup.

I loved Robb! Sucks he didn't last longer

I feel sorry for Robb. He lost to a bunch of stupid rules.
No, I'm serious. That's what he said.

@Catsthatshootlasers He seems cool and all with the skater appeal but man, is he such a big baby!
jpad319 2 years ago 2
Well, that's Survivor for you, full of big babies.
And FYI, he took this loss a whole lot better than you-know-who did his.
AllRequired 1 year ago 6
@AllRequired Who is "you-know-who"? I haven't seen all the seasons.
ORCA4312 1 year ago
"You know who" is probably Russell Hantz from Samoa who talked smack about how he was the greatest player ever and would win...then cried when he got his ass kicked by Natalie at the Final TC, set up a "Russell got screwed" site, and hasn't stopped bitching since.
SpanishFly120 1 year ago 4
This is also among the highest-ranking moments on Survivor's Funny 115.
AllRequired 1 year ago 2
This comment has received too many negative votes show
But you have to admit that Russell was one of the best player ever.
It was the only time, in any survivor, that the tribe with less member beat the other with more member(from original tribe)when there is no more tribe.
Sorry for my english
shadowranger123 1 year ago
Nah, Russell's still a bad and overrated player who's one-dimensional. Natalie broke apart Galu, and Timbira imploded thanks to JT a season earlier. And he didn't even need to use 2000 Hidden Immunity Idols.
SpanishFly120 1 year ago 3
In Guatamala, Danni's tribe was outnumbered 6-2, and the Nakum tribe broke apart. In Tocantins, Timbira outnumbered JT's tribe 6-3 after Joe's medvac and won. In Marquesas, Vecepia was outnumbered 7-2 and still won. In Vanuatu, Chris was outnumbered 6-1 and went on to win. None needed HIIs either. So no, Foa Foa wasn't the first tribe accomplish that.
LTomlinson31 1 year ago 7
And in Tocantins, Stephen had the Jalapao Idol and he and JT never even needed to use it to get out of the whole and the Guatemala Idol couldn't be used the same way either, so they had a much harder time than Russell.

@SpanishFly120
agreed, what russhole did wasnt that amazing at all
he turned the table around with mutiple idols(which i think is just, cheap),blackmail, threats, taunts, bullying, harrasement and just disgusting amount of lying.while danni from guatemala, for the most part, played a very clean game and still overcame 6 nakum members to win
russhole just have this illusion that hes the best that ever existed and everyone should step aside and kiss his ass and give him the million

i guess you don't remember what has to be the biggest comeback in survivor history (not the best player by any means though) chris, at first he looked like a shoe-in to be first eliminated, but formed the "fat five". was outnumbered by the women 6-1, and came back to win it.
gamelvr1 1 year ago
@gamelvr1 Nope, I did mention it. But yeah, it was an amazing comeback.
LTomlinson31 1 year ago
@LTomlinson3 I'm sorry, i overlooked that.

@shadowranger123 He does a nice job with strategy and he's great at finding hidden immunity idols but he has one of, if not the worst social games ever. He will never win a final tribal council because he pisses off too many people.
aeb71 1 year ago
@shadowranger123 No it was not the only time a tribe with less members beat a tribe with more players.
In survivor Season 13 : Cook Islands, a group of 4 (sundra, yul, ozzy and becka) on one tribe ending up beating a tribe of 9, merging when it was 5 to 4, them being outnumbered by 1, and still voting out the tribe of 5 one by one, and being the final 4.
MrMikeyboy1002 1 year ago
@MrMikeyboy1002 they beat a tribe of 8, not a tribe of 9
gamelvr1 1 year ago

Loved the level of maturity shown by him as he flips off ?Jeff?

i dont know why people kept saying that this season was crap
i loved it
it had nice cast like shi-ann , jake and helen
and it also had one of the funniest fights in the show Tev VS Ghandia
The only bummer about the season is the winner
I HATE BRIAN
neoneogod 2 years ago
I hate him too, but he was a brilliant player who deserved to win.
