7 people are...seriously? HOW can you not like this? Even if you are an atheist and think Christians are stupid, there aren't even any words. I think some people are envious of these mad skills.
i wish i could watch christian music videos(or just christian videos in general) without everyone else's comments. just enjoy the music that God made and the different talent God gave ppl.
Sometimes the best way to worship is doing what you were created to do! Gungor is doing just that! They have been gifted with such talent! So thankful they're using it to further the kingdom! :)
People, the arguing on here is so disappointing. Can we just put our crap aside as God's people for two seconds and be the body of Christ? We will never always agree on everything, that is a completely naive concept, but we can honor and love each other as we are called to despite our theological differences. This song conveys a message of praising and glorifying God. Are we doing that by arguing pettily over worship styles? We are called to be better than this!
Why do people feel the need to tear others down in order to build someone up. Different people worship in different ways, but the important thing is that they are worshiping God, not how simple or how complicated the worship is. God is honored with anything we do as long as we do it for His glory and not ours. This is great worship music, but no greater than Chris Tomlin or others. It is the heart that makes it great. Not the music!
God is not honored more just because someone limits his song writing to 4 chords (like Tomlin & others). Pride can exist in a very simple musicians, just as much as it may in an excellent musician. Likewise, humility can be found in both the simple and the advanced. Christopher Parkening & Phil Keaggy are very humble, yet virtuosic at the same time. God looks at the heart. I love the fact that Gungor has developed his talent and is using it for the Kingdom. We need more of this, not less!
@philosophy7575 Phil Keaggy also plays an Olson guitar almost identical to the one in this video...and he has 9 fingers. Truer words have never been spoken.
@philosophy7575 Michael Gungor is an amazing guitar player and all around musician . but to be honest god blessed us to praise him by music. Chris Tomlin and many other christian artists are just trying to make worship music for people to praise the lord. and yes i am a guitar player. dont go dissing other christian artists, there most likely better then you.
@philosophy7575 Sometimes simple is all thats needed. Some of the most powerful worship songs I have ever heard have been just a couple chords (How Great is our God, With Everything - Hillsong, and Give Me Faith - Elevation Worship just for examples) To look down on these artists who have dedicated their lives to glorifying God with all they have because they don't play complex guitar riffs etc is completely missing the point of what they're doing.
How very refreshing! A worship artist who is has actually learned to play guitar beyond the basics and is developing and exercising his God given talent in creative ways! I love how he is blending the Bach prelude, the doxology, and contemporary acoustic guitar styles. For too long, worship "artists" have abdicated musical creativity and excellence to others. Gungor is bringing it back. Excellent!
Ha! That would be great! Who knows if they would care enough to change though. I know a local broadcaster where I live only has a 70 song rotation and won't play anything else. Lame.

This is pretty decent, but if you want some SERIOUS acoustic playing you need to look at either tommy emmanuel or (of course) the great phil keaggy. *warning* Tommy will blow your brain into 1000 pieces if you think that this is amazing.
@johndknox I love both of them, Phil and Tommy, I mean. And, they just may be the better musicians technically. But I think it's a big understatement to say that this is just 'pretty decent.' To each his own, I guess. :)
I think I'm going to figure out the tabs for this song. That's going to take some time :P Well thank God I'm good at music!! This song is INCREDIBLE and AWESOME!!!
I had the privilege of going to college with Michael. Oral Roberts University, to be exact. (His dad is a pastor who sometimes preached at ORU) As far as I can remember, he didn't really lead worship much at ORU, but he was on the worship team. Very humble. Very nice guy. @christiandude07@botsteele lol yes I was just referring to his playing style and his decision regarding the intro. that being said, as thankful as I'm sure he is for his success and his talent ... I gotta say that I doubt he woke up one day and was suddenly blessed with the ability to play as amazingly as he does. Musical skill always comes with countless hours of practice and, in a lot of cases, studying with a teacher. So saying ... "Not Trained" ... no, I'm pretty sure he probably is.

@kukac1455 So only things we can visually see are real? We can't see inside your head, does your brain exist? How about your heart?
