con you see ,on july 24 1972 a close friend of mine got runover by a car almost in front of his house.tommy donlon was his name. we were 14 when he died,at the time of death this song was on the top 10- gilbert osullivans hit. when i hear tgis song i cry, thinking of him. but jonnies hit came out in 1973 . the part of this songs that gets to me is- if he really does exist why did he desert me. makes me think of tommy and his death.thank you for the reply.
