The technology used would be battery reconditioning by deep discharge and charge cycles. It's a technique that's been used for forever now to recondition the clung-together active materials used in batteries. Nothing new, widely used and certainly not magic.
This is nothing new, and unfortunately not practical. All the great ideas are quickly bought by the huge oil companies and stored away somewhere in a safe. Now when some one comes out with a good idea, they quickly push the politicians, which they helped fund their elections to pass laws to stop the idea.... Funny, but true.....

even out in the country here, in North Dakota, I haven't seen anyone throw a battery in a landfill in 40 years - they are recycled in even the smallest of communities. Does this happen in the bigger metro areas, or what?
Also, if they sell something that cheap that can really "renew" batteries, other than simply charging them, I have to have one. I'll check into that...
Too right, they don't get land-filled. This is nonsense.
Lead acid batteries eventually succumb to sulfonation, as lead sulfate accumulates in place of the oxide in the plates, preventing contact with the active material. There have been many attempts to fix this, with high volt/low current/short pulse electricity and additives. It seems to work OK, sometimes. Better is to avoid over discharge, which causes the problem in the first place. I don't discharge past 30% if I can help it.
actually it is not crap. although him saying it is his technology or at lest i think he said that, that would be crap.
search for bedini on youtube or anywhere. many videos of people copying his technology and posted on youtube. his tech dose exactly what this guy is guy is saying to the batterys. and actually requires no extra power to charge batteries
What a bunch of crap. Batteries will only last so long before breaking down and being un-usable. Why do you think he needs old batteries to replace the ones he has. He just has to change old batteries all the time.
If that's the only way you are gona make money from your idea then it can't be that worthy or ground-breaking or someone would have paid you large sums of money to dissapear already :)
You have to charge the batteries. You are simply taking discarded batteries, adding acid and then recharging them with a battery charger. The news media is so full of shit they way they hype a BS story.
The batteries are NOT no cost. By the time you screw around with the recharging and reconditioning you can buy returned NEW batteries from a parts store or buy used ones from a salvage yard for not much more than it would cost to recondition them.
how bout u do a little research before u put down something something actually did to help the environment. I bet you haven't done shit but look at youtube video's and comment on how bad of an idea someone had. Every little thing like this leads to a new idea and soon enough we have something that's going to save the world.
energy IS free and unlimited... the devices that are used to 'contain' energy are not.. no machine has been invented yet that is 100% efficent,or will last for-ever with 0 maintence... its all about getting as close as you can to the 99.9%-100% effency rating.. lighting could power the entire planet if they made machines that could store that much power, thoes machines would still require maintence though... people should say "...there's no machine capable of using 100% of its energy..." yet
That "good ol' engine sound" is the sound of pollution, asthma, lung cancer, global warming, global war for oil, toxic runoff into bodies of water and wells, and nerve shattering noise all around us never letting up. I live near a highway with alot of trucks and cars screaming past my house. I can't even have my windows open because of the noise and black shit that collects on my window sill and floors and my lungs. Down with the internal combustion era! Let's use our minds for once and evolve.
Well, i saw a commercial that Honda made the first street car that runs on water using special h20 cells that covert water to energy to power the car. Still giving it that straight electric sound.
Yeah I read about that technology but its a bit stupid. It will help the energy crisis but it wont help at all Global Warming or Pollution. It still emmits CO2 because they arrange the water so that it can combust. Were faced with the obligation of finding a new power source than gaz lets try to find an eco-friendly one.
that's hydrogen fuel cell technology. I've done a lot of research about it. the only way it pollutes is if you get you hydrogen from methane (CH$). But in your case, they are splitting the hydrogen from the oxygen atoms w/ electrolysis such that it provides electrical energy. I did a project on it in 6th grade. The advantage of this is its like a battery only it's charge time is nearly 0 because its like filling a tank of gas. The only exhaust is water after the H and O molecules rejoin.
I mis worded it because of the time at night. I was refuting his claim that on board hydrogen electrolysis actually improves vehicle mileage.
If you misunderstood me, cool, if you don't, please explain here so we can all benefit.
Reviving batteries is a very economical means to saving the environment and saving your wallet, but banking on those cheap plans and kits that produce hydrogen from water and inject during intake does nothing but waste your time.
Hello, thanks for your comment BUT if you look closely, or read any one of our EV Diary webpages, you would have read that our batteries are SEALED, GEL, or AGM. Not flooded.

We use to recharge some old batteries buy draining the water.Drain the current all the way. putting new water in them and charge them up backward positive to neg-neg to positive for about and hour or two. then drain battery flush throughly and fill with acid again. but mark the battery so you know it is reversed. it claeans the plates when reverse charged. and boosts the battery.
Dude, I´ve done the exakt thing and it works perfectly. I even made an instruction-video while I reversed the poles. I dunno if I wanna show it in public though lol...I believe there is a business opportunity here.

JC Whitney has been selling that stuff for 50 years.
It is in a tube, you squeeze it into the cells, and it revives batteries to like new.
It is supposed to eat away the crud that collects inside batteries or something.
I am sure it also has some sulphuric acid in it.
After hearing stories of batteries exploding, I decided not to try it.
Nothing new here.

If some of the batteries you are reviving are sealed, then we are left to presume you are inducing pulse width modulation into the battery at higer-than-cell voltages to stimulate a redox to the plates. I suppose it would take a bit of research, based on the electrolyte and plate material, current rating and cell degeneration, but the voltage, pulse width and current level could eventually be extrapolated.
