You can take it or leave it like everybody else and as far as them being "rich enough" I would say that its not your place to judge who is rich enough or otherwise, its actually none of your business. In 05 I worked for a company in the UK (I am from NZ) which ran supercar rallies across europe for the ultra wealthy so I know what they are like and the opulent lifestyle the enjoy. The fact remains that people have a choice to buy or not and the offer of sale is in no way offensive,anyway there is so much free stuff on the net that anyone silly enough to pay....:)

duuuh you can't compare a tuned 911 with a normal lp640. if you want to see the real thing compare a normal lp640 with the normal 911 OR the lamborghini lp670 SV (super veloce) and then we will see who wins XD
@LilMenace68 911 GT2 has huge torque through the rev range as it is twin turbo, the Lambo is high revving naturally aspiracted, so it is at a big disadvantage on a rolling start, add to that that this 911 Gt2 is tuned and would have a serious torque advantage over the lambo, plus it's lighter and the brands motorsport version.
Power is not eveything......but low weight is.....it helps acceleration stoping and cornering, it reduces tyres stress and brake fading, that's why 911 are efficient for a long time....not like a wel known Datsun which is only efficient for 15mn!!
i definitely did not expect the porsche to win.. especially the 911, which isn't even one of porsche's top cars. on the other hand, however, the murcielago lp640 is one of the top lambos, let alone the reventon, which is practically garbage compared to the carrera gt.
@BeyondDestiny The top porsche is this the gt2 because the carrera gt is not in production anymore and this particular HD gt2 is very well tuned by hans dahlback, and the lambo is stock; the fastest lambo isnt the reventon the fastest definitely is between the LP-670 murcielago or the LP-570 gallardo superleggera and any of these lambos are much faster than the porsche gt2 or carrera gt stock

@Concordemoment I'd say 4 seconds over the course of a 7+ minute lap; yep, 'slightly' is the correct term.
Put them on a more usual track length of say 1.5 minutes and that is a very close run... so back to my point that ACR is an extreme track car while ZR1 could be considered a daily driver, relatively speaking.
I'm not putting down the Viper; the ZR1 is just a better car, in every way, IMO.
@fayettevillin ZR1 is hands down a better car than viper; ACR is slightly better on track, but it's strictly an extreme track car. ZR1 is a daily driver and smokes Viper in straight line & top speed. ZR1 hold it's value much better than Viper, and is better built, more technical innovation, package, better wt distribution, steering feel, build quality, dependability, fuel economy, looks and sound!...blah blah blah. ZR1 is indeed a world class top sports car at $100k. Impressive.
@crzygutrsnobrdr Corvette ZR-1's top speed is 205 since 2008. And last time I checked, The Nissan GT-R's top speed was 190. And it's not good looking at all. Just admit, the Corvette is amazing bang for your buck. Supercar speed, at less than 1/2 the price of most.
Seriously, a Corvette ZR1 competes with any Lamborghini you can throw at it. Mucielago SV is 0-60 mph in 3.2 seconds, Corvette is 3.3. All other Lamborghinis will be slower. Corvette is an engineering marvel. So little technology, yet it flies. Top speed is 205, and for only 100k, its the fastest car you'll get for that price. And it won't be butt ugly like a Porsche.

But my point was is that not every supercars money goes solely into making it fast. for example look at the Lexus LFA, its 375 grand plus TTL, its top speed is no more than 205 to 210mph. But the overall quality of the car, its interior, its research, and technology really adds up the cost.
@V8Supercar1 the zo6 does not do 205mph...i googled 2008 corvette top speed and i got 198. and that was proboly under absoulte perfect conditions. The closest to that would be the nissan gtr...85k..about 18k on the switzer p800 kit and im sure it could top 200. but mostly the more price you pay the faster of a car you will end up getting.

The price of the car is 120 to 140 grand i think. Thats actually Gumpert Apollo performance but not 500 grand price tag.

@gaz0044 17 year olds...that are Formula 1 drivers. Hmm how are non races set up in the reall world? Every type of drag race, involving a straight line is set up with a traffic light start. As much as I don't like USA fatboy drag racing...every class. @LilMenace68 911 GT2 has huge torque through the rev range as it is twin turbo, the Lambo is high revving naturally aspiracted, so it is at a big disadvantage on a rolling start, add to that that this 911 Gt2 is tuned and would have a serious torque advantage over the lambo, plus it's lighter and the brands motorsport version.

Power is not eveything......but low weight is.....it helps acceleration stoping and cornering, it reduces tyres stress and brake fading, that's why 911 are efficient for a long time....not like a wel known Datsun which is only efficient for 15mn!!

i definitely did not expect the porsche to win.. especially the 911, which isn't even one of porsche's top cars. on the other hand, however, the murcielago lp640 is one of the top lambos, let alone the reventon, which is practically garbage compared to the carrera gt.
all in all: porsche> ferrari> lambo.

@BeyondDestiny The top porsche is this the gt2 because the carrera gt is not in production anymore and this particular HD gt2 is very well tuned by hans dahlback, and the lambo is stock; the fastest lambo isnt the reventon the fastest definitely is between the LP-670 murcielago or the LP-570 gallardo superleggera and any of these lambos are much faster than the porsche gt2 or carrera gt stock

@Concordemoment I'd say 4 seconds over the course of a 7+ minute lap; yep, 'slightly' is the correct term.
Put them on a more usual track length of say 1.5 minutes and that is a very close run... so back to my point that ACR is an extreme track car while ZR1 could be considered a daily driver, relatively speaking.
I'm not putting down the Viper; the ZR1 is just a better car, in every way, IMO.

@fayettevillin ZR1 is hands down a better car than viper; ACR is slightly better on track, but it's strictly an extreme track car. ZR1 is a daily driver and smokes Viper in straight line & top speed. ZR1 hold it's value much better than Viper, and is better built, more technical innovation, package, better wt distribution, steering feel, build quality, dependability, fuel economy, looks and sound!...blah blah blah. ZR1 is indeed a world class top sports car at $100k. Impressive.

@crzygutrsnobrdr Corvette ZR-1's top speed is 205 since 2008. And last time I checked, The Nissan GT-R's top speed was 190. And it's not good looking at all. Just admit, the Corvette is amazing bang for your buck. Supercar speed, at less than 1/2 the price of most.

Seriously, a Corvette ZR1 competes with any Lamborghini you can throw at it. Mucielago SV is 0-60 mph in 3.2 seconds, Corvette is 3.3. All other Lamborghinis will be slower. Corvette is an engineering marvel. So little technology, yet it flies. Top speed is 205, and for only 100k, its the fastest car you'll get for that price. And it won't be butt ugly like a Porsche.

But my point was is that not every supercars money goes solely into making it fast. for example look at the Lexus LFA, its 375 grand plus TTL, its top speed is no more than 205 to 210mph. But the overall quality of the car, its interior, its research, and technology really adds up the cost.

@V8Supercar1 the zo6 does not do 205mph...i googled 2008 corvette top speed and i got 198. and that was proboly under absoulte perfect conditions. The closest to that would be the nissan gtr...85k..about 18k on the switzer p800 kit and im sure it could top 200. but mostly the more price you pay the faster of a car you will end up getting.

@crzygutrsnobrdr: Yeah that switzer p800 should do it. And I think the 08 Dodge Viper could do it at 120grand. But at the same time I wouldnt be surprised if it couldnt do 200mph. Gearing is terrible in non ACR models. The next cheapest car just might be the american made kit car, the GT Malan. Which has a N/A 700hp LSX motor, and the entire car itself weighs around 2300lbs. The price of the car is 120 to 140 grand i think. Thats actually Gumpert Apollo performance but not 500 grand price tag.

632 HP on the Lamborghini. I still say there should be a from 0 start and a rolling start. If u are at a traffic light...Who rolls the start? Also it takes less driver skill to do a rolling start. You should just go by stock numbers, if it is a matter of which car is faster. Ok...if tuned then a pass by itself timed. Are these races timed? I know it's a club for fun, car talk, good good and the celebration of the automobile but....I own a Ferrari 430 spyder personally and enjoy it. Waiting 4

@gaz0044 17 year olds...that are Formula 1 drivers. Hmm how are non races set up in the reall world? Every type of drag race, involving a straight line is set up with a traffic light start. As much as I don't like USA fatboy drag racing...every class. Probably around 50 or more classes and 1000 drag strip tracks around the world (in a track designed to just go straight from start to finish) have a non rolling start. Who gives a crap about who wins from 20MPH to 180. 4wd gets screwed!

Also the Lamborghini weighs around 1,800 KG so trying to keep up with a modified lightweight GT2 is not going to be easy. By the way the youngest ever in F1 is Sebastian Vettel born in 1987. So where you got 17 years old F1 drivers from i do not know.

Don't post this car vs this car if it isn't a true speed test. Why not start at 100 MPH (sorry 170 KPH)? I agree the USA (not American) crap is stupid and a waste of time but they do get it right.
